Abstract:
A method is provided for creating a plurality of substantially uniform nano-scale features in a substantially parallel manner in which an array of micro-lenses is positioned on a surface of a substrate, where each micro-lens includes a hole such that the bottom of the hole corresponds to a portion of the surface of the substrate. A flux of charged particles, e.g., a beam of positive ions of a selected element, is applied to the micro-lens array. The flux of charged particles is focused at selected focal points on the substrate surface at the bottoms of the holes of the micro-lens array. The substrate is tilted at one or more selected angles to displace the locations of the focal points across the substrate surface. By depositing material or etching the surface of the substrate, several substantially uniform nanometer sized features may be rapidly created in each hole on the surface of the substrate in a substantially parallel manner.

Abstract:
A method of using a digital subscriber link unit as a media converter, the method comprising coupling a first signal of a first type to a first port of the digital subscriber link unit, converting the first signal of the first type to a second signal of the second type with the digital subscriber link unit and outputting the second signal of the second type from a second port of the digital subscriber link unit. The first port and the second port are not G.SHDSL ports.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for focused web crawling comprising a crawler, a distiller, a queuing unit and a classifying module arranged to undergo a method for focused web crawling that inputs a seed address into a subsequently formed address queue, iteratively extracts a primary address from the address queue, iteratively invigilates the primary address for presence in an address store, and follows a series of steps to conduct relevancy check of the addresses via naive bayes protocol, simultaneously calculates primary conditional probability of a set of predefined webpage(s) using the protocol, sequentially calculates plurality of secondary conditional probabilities pertaining to the webpage(s) of the iteratively extracted primary addresses, further classifies the webpage(s) as relevant/irrelevant webpage(s) and finally transfers addresses of the relevant webpage(s) and the relevant set of addresses into the address queue, else into the address store.
Abstract:
The invention provides processes for obtaining a precursor for insulin, analogs or derivatives thereof having correctly bonded cystine bridges. The process involves solubilizing a precursor of insulin, insulin analog or derivatives in an aqueous solution or a buffer containing cysteine or cysteine hydrochloride and one or more of chaotropic auxiliary. The solubilized precursors are refolded by adding diluent to the solubilized mixture (reverse dilution). Further, the solubilized precursors, wherein the concentration of precursor in reaction mixture is more than 0.65 g/liter can also be refolded by diluting the reaction mixture with a diluent optionally comprising about 5-40% v/v of one or more of alcoholic or aprotic solvents.
Abstract:
An integrated circuit includes electronic components, a voltage regulator for generating a control voltage, and a power consumption measurement module. The power consumption measurement module is connected to the voltage regulator and includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for converting the control voltage to multiple digital control voltage samples, an averaging module for averaging the digital control voltage samples, and a current profiling module for receiving the averaged control voltage data and determining an average current from averaged control voltage data. The average current represents power consumption of the integrated circuit.
Abstract:
A system for re-ordering a scan chain of an electronic circuit design using an electronic design automation (EDA) tool includes a processor and a memory in communication with the processor. The scan chain includes a plurality of scan cells. All connections of the scan chain are disconnected. An output port of a first scan cell is connected to input ports of other scan cells to form a first set of scan cell combinations. A first scan cell combination is selected from the first set of scan cell combinations based on weighted averages of ordering parameters of each of the first set of scan cell combinations. The process is repeated to re-order the scan chain.
Abstract:
A hardware module configured to perform single instructions faster than is possible in software running on the microprocessor. In one implementation, the hardware module is configured to perform a single count instruction, including - counting a number of “ones” contained in a first register; and storing, in a second register, the count of the number of “ones” contained in the first register.
Abstract:
A system for asymmetric flow extraction is described and claimed, the system comprising a flow path, a bleed slot in the flow path, a bleed cavity for receiving at least a portion of the fluid extracted from the flow path and a bleed passage in flow communication with the bleed slot and the bleed cavity wherein the bleed passage has at least one deflector having a shape such that the width of the bleed passage cross section varies in a direction normal to the direction of fluid flow in the bleed passage. In another embodiment, the deflector has an aerodynamic surface having a shape such that the flow passage between the aerodynamic surface and a surface located away from it has a cross sectional shape that is non-axisymmetric. In another embodiment, the bleed passage comprises an assembly of a plurality deflectors, arranged circumferentially.
