Abstract: The present invention provides a method for comprehensive monitoring, analysis and maintenance of water and equipment in swimming pools, said method implemented by one or more processors operatively coupled to a non-transitory computer readable storage device, on which are stored modules of instruction code that when executed cause the one or more processors to perform: accumulating and monitoring data from elements including at least one of: sensors, actuators, and breakers in and around the vicinity of the swimming pools; accumulating non-sensory data from a plurality of sources at a local processing unit; propagating the data to an online remote server, applying machine learning or rule based algorithms at the online remote server configured to incorporate all the acquired data and obtain an optimal policy for pool maintenance by providing recommendations, control parameters, and providing an online interface to access said recommendation/control parameters for at least one of pool owners, pool servicemen, pool maintenance companies, pool vendors and pool retail dealers.

Abstract: A cuvette for treating and characterizing water via ultrasonic waves and optical measurements comprises at least one ultrasonic transducer for treating said water by introducing at least one ultrasonic pulse into the water. The at least one ultrasonic pulse either varies parameters of the water, and/or moves and repositions particles within the water. The cuvette further comprises a spectrometry device for measuring spectral components of light and at least one light source for irradiating the water with irradiation light. The at least one of the parameters of the water is determined via: (a) measuring the spectral components of light prior to treating the water with said at least one ultrasonic transducer, (b) treating the water with said at least one ultrasonic transducer, (c) remeasuring the spectral components of light to get the difference in said spectral components of light, and (d) determining the value of the at least one parameter of the water based on the difference in said spectral components of light.

Abstract: A pool cleaner for cleaning a pool, the pool cleaner may include a filtering element for filtering fluid; at least one sensor for sensing an actual yaw of the pool cleaner and an actual orientation of the pool cleaner; at least one steering element that is configured to move the pool cleaner along a cleaning path during a cleaning process of a certain region of a sidewall of the pool; wherein the cleaning path comprises a cleaning path segment that has a cleaning path segment yaw that is a non-vertical yaw; wherein the cleaning path comprises less than a predetermined number of turns; wherein the predetermined number of turns is associated with another cleaning path that mostly includes vertical yaw cleaning path segments; and a controller that is configured to control the at least one steering element, based on the actual yaw of the pool cleaner.
