摘要: A method and apparatus for service continuity on a mobile communication device is disclosed. The method can include receiving (320) a first service on a first carrier, where the first service can have a multicast subframe allocation pattern. The method can include establishing (340) a connection on a second carrier on a universal mobile telecommunication system. The method can include informing (350) a source of the second carrier of the multicast subframe allocation pattern of the first service. The method can include receiving (360) scheduling grants for subframes on the second carrier. The subframes corresponding to the received scheduling grants can be distinct from subframes corresponding to the multicast subframe allocation pattern of the first service. The method can include receiving (370) a second service on the second carrier based on the scheduling grants while receiving the first service on the first carrier.

摘要: A method is provided for applying HOM to a PDCCH to transmit control information from an access node to a UE. The method comprises: selecting a DCI format for a HOM PDCCH; determining a DCI block of the HOM PDCCH according to the selected DCI format; generating a sequence of coded bits to be transmitted from the DCI block; multiplexing the sequence of coded bits of the HOM PDCCH with coded bits of other PDCCHs to form a sequence of multiplexed bits; scrambling the sequence of multiplexed bits to form a sequence of scrambled bits; modulating the scrambled bits to form a sequence of modulation symbols; and transmitting the sequence of modulation symbols, where a PDCCH is transmitted on an aggregation of one or more CCEs.

摘要: Methods and devices are disclosed for efficient signaling of discontinuous transmission in a wireless communication system. In various aspects of the disclosure, a user equipment device monitors transmissions on a plurality of physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) and, in response to said transmissions, generates an acknowledge/negative acknowledge (ACK/NACK) signal comprising a plurality of bits, wherein the plurality of bits includes a discontinuous transmission (DTX) indicator bit. In some embodiments, the indicator bit corresponds to an even or odd number of PDCCHs successfully decoded. In other embodiments, the indicator bit corresponds to an odd or even number of component carriers comprising “TRUE” NACKs.

摘要: A wireless receiver and method employs a forward/backward recursive covariance based filter coefficient generation scheme for equalizing a received wireless signal, such as a CDMA signal or other suitable signal. A forward/backward recursive covariance based filter coefficient generating circuit (206) includes a forward recursion portion (300) that receives data representing channel estimates (18) of a communication channel, and data representing an auto-covariance matrix (22). The forward recursion portion (300) produces a set of output values (306) from each iteration stage (400a–400n) of the forward recursion portion (300). The set of output values (306) are stored and a backward recursion portion (302) obtains the set of output values (306) and also receives the data representing the auto-covariance matrix (22), and generates filter coefficients (208) based on this information.

摘要: A system and method may dynamically (a) adjust signal characteristics of individual portions of a Near Field Communication (“NFC”) transmission, and/or (b) change NFC wireless communication channels. A transmitting device may transmit to a receiving device via multiple NFC channels. For instance, a transmitting device may have multiple spatially-separated antennas and/or transmitters, and a transmission required to complete a financial transaction (or other wireless communication) with a receiving device may have several portions. Each transmission portion may be sequentially and/or individually transmitted from the transmitting device to the receiving device using a different antenna and/or transmitter, i.e., a different communication channel. Each channel may use (1) a different antenna and/or transmitter located on the transmitting device, and/or (2) a different level or setting of a signal characteristic, such as transmit at a different power level, phase, frequency, or other characteristic than other channels. As a result, eavesdropping may be inhibited.

摘要: Devices and methods are disclosed for real-time calibration of a tunable matching network that matches the dynamic impedance of an antenna in a receiver. Processing logic is operable to solve multiple non-linear equations to determine the reflection coefficient of the antenna. The tunable matching network is repeatedly perturbed and the power received by the antenna is measured after each perturbation at the same node in the matching network. The measured power values are used by an optimizer in converging to a solution that provides the reflection coefficient of the antenna. The reflection coefficient of the antenna may be used to determine the input impedance of the antenna. The elements of the matching circuit may then be adjusted to match the input impedance of the antenna.

摘要: Methods and devices are disclosed for encoding and decoding convolutional codes in a communication system. In various embodiments of the disclosure, a codeword comprises message data and parity data. A convolutional codeword is generated by multiplying the message data and the parity data with a convolutional polynomial. The convolutional codeword may be decoded by a convolutional code decoder that uses the convolutional polynomial and a maximum likelihood divisor to obtain a maximum likelihood message from the convolutional codeword.
