The method includes the steps of: setting a priority of the failover to the respective nodes of the local site; setting a failover destination of the respective nodes of the local site to a node of the remote site or the local site based on correspondences between the priority and an extent of the failover destination set in advance; backing up data to respective nodes of the determined failover destination; causing the failover destinations and nodes to mutually detect a failure; and causing a node of the failover destination to take over a task if the node of the failover destination detects a failure.

    摘要: A plurality of NAS heads 1 to 4 can access a shared LU 18 which stores a shared resource 21 and a count value for the NAS head 1. The NAS head 1 comprises a use resource registration/delete section 35 which accesses the shared resource 21 if the shared resource is in unused status, and does not access the shared resource 21 if the shared resource 21 is used by another NAS head 2 to 4, and a reset section 39 for resetting the count value to zero. The NAS head 2 cancels the use status and release the shared resource 21 to the unused status if the count value exceeds a predetermined threshold and the shared resource 21 remains in use status being used by the NAS head 1. Exclusive control for using a shared resource is performed.

    摘要: The present invention permits backup processing suited to data characteristics relating to backup target data by means of a method that is simple for the user. Data characteristic classification definition information, in which data characteristic IDs correspond with one or more data characteristic types respectively, and mapping information, in which backup destination server information corresponds with one or more data characteristic IDs respectively, are prepared. The backup source server 3 sets data characteristic IDs in each of the backup target files on the basis of metadata of designated backup target files and of the data characteristic classification definition information, and then determines backup destination servers 6A to 6C for each of the backup target files on the basis of the set data characteristic IDs and mapping information and transmits the backup target files to the determined servers 6A to 6C.
