摘要: A polymeric dispersant containing a vinyl polymer having a constitutional unit represented by the following formula 1: wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2 and R4 may be the same or different and are each independently an alkylene group having from 2 to 18 carbon atoms or an arylene group having from 6 to 18 carbon atoms, R3 is an alkylene group having from 4 to 18 carbon atoms or an arylene group having from 6 to 18 carbon atoms, M1 and M2 may be the same or different and are each independently a hydrogen atom or a cation, k and m may be the same or different and are each independently a number from 0 to 20, and L is a number from 1 to 20, with the proviso that L is 2 or more when k is zero. The polymeric dispersant is used for the production of a water dispersion for ink-jet printing. The water dispersion for ink-jet printing is used for the production of a water-based ink for ink-jet printing.

摘要: The present invention relates to (1) a process for producing a water dispersion for ink-jet printing containing colorant-containing polymer particles which includes a step I of obtaining a dispersion of colorant-containing polymer particles; a step II of obtaining a water dispersion of the colorant-containing polymer particles from the dispersion obtained in the step I; a step III of mixing the water dispersion obtained in the step II with an organic solvent (B) to suitably control a relative dielectric constant of a mixed solvent in the resultant dispersion, thereby precipitating the colorant-containing polymer particles; and a step IV of separating precipitates obtained in the step III from the dispersion and re-dispersing the precipitates in a water-based solvent; (2) a water-based ink for ink-jet printing which is excellent in ejection stability and optical density; (3) a process for purifying a water dispersion for ink-jet printing; and (4) a process for producing a dispersion containing groups of fine particles.

摘要: A water-based ink comprising a colorant and a water-insoluble polymer having at least two hydroxyl groups at its end; a water-based ink comprising a water-insoluble polymer having an ionic group at its end and a pigment; and a process for preparing a water-based ink, comprising dissolving a water-insoluble polymer having an ionic group at its end or at least two hydroxyl groups at its end in an organic solvent; adding a pigment, water and a neutralizing agent, and optionally a surfactant to the resulting solution; kneading the mixture to form a paste; diluting the paste with water as occasion demands; and distilling off the organic solvent to make it into a water-based system. The water-based ink can be suitably used for printers for inkjet printing.

摘要: A water dispersion for inkjet printing which contains polymer particles containing a colorant. The polymer constituting the polymer particles is produced by the copolymerization of a monomer mixture in the presence of a-methylstyrene dimer. The water dispersion for inkjet printing and a water-based ink for inkjet printing containing the water dispersion exhibit excellent jetting properties and a high optical density.

摘要: The present invention relates to an aqueous ink for ink jet recording and a water dispersion for ink jet recording, including water-insoluble vinyl polymer particles containing a colorant, the water-insoluble vinyl polymer being a water-insoluble vinyl polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture of: (A) a monomer represented by the formula (I): wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, R2 represents an alkylene group having 2 to 18 carbon atoms or an alkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms in which a phenyl group is substituted for a hydrogen atom thereof, n denotes a number from 2 to 30 and R3 represents a straight or branched alkyl group having 8 to 30 carbon atoms; (B) a monomer containing a salt-forming monomer; and (C) a hydrophobic monomer.
