    摘要: The invention provides a process for producing a water dispersion for ink jet recording,which comprises the following steps 1 and 2: (Step 1) a step of obtaining a pigment treated with (a) a water-insoluble vinyl polymer particles by making a pigment and (a) a water-insoluble vinyl polymer particles present in an aqueous solvent and then removing the solvent; and (Step 2) a step of obtaining a water dispersion of a pigment-containing water-insoluble vinyl polymer particles by dispersing a mixture comprising the water-insoluble vinyl polymer particle (a)—treated pigment obtained in step 1, an organic solvent, (b) a water-insoluble vinyl polymer and water and then removing the organic solvent.

    摘要: There are provided a water dispersion for ink-jet printing comprising colorant-containing water-insoluble graft polymer particles in which the water-insoluble graft polymer contains a main chain which is a polymer chain containing a constitutional unit derived from a salt-forming group-containing monomer (a) and a constitutional unit derived from an aromatic ring-containing (meth)acrylate monomer (b), and a side chain which is a polymer chain containing a constitutional unit derived from a hydrophobic monomer (c); a water-based ink for ink-jet printing using the water dispersion; and an ink-jet printing method using the water-based ink. In accordance with the present invention, printed images or characters formed on a coated paper are excellent in gloss, image clarity and image clarity property including both of the image clarity and the gloss, and printed images or characters formed on an ordinary paper exhibit a high print density.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a water-based ink for ink-jet printing which exhibits a high optical density even upon one-pass printing on plain papers and is suitable for high-speed printing, and a dispersion used in the water-base ink. There are provided a water dispersion for ink-jet printing, including water-insoluble polymer particles containing a colorant, and a nonionic organic compound satisfying the following conditions I and II: I: Water containing 0.001% by weight of the nonionic organic compound has a surface tension of 70 mN/m or less as measured at 25° C.; and II: A solubility of the nonionic organic compound in 100 g of water is 0.30 g or less as measured at 25° C., a water-based ink containing the water dispersion, and a method of conducting a one-pass printing using the water-based ink.

    摘要: The present invention relates to [1] an ink-jet printing method including the steps of applying an ink (A) having a static surface tension of from 23 to 70 mN/m and containing a poly(N-acylalkylene imine)-modified silicone and a cationic polymer onto a recording medium, and then applying by ink-jet printing, a water-based ink (B) onto the recording medium; [2] a recording paper for ink-jet printing which is obtainable by applying an ink (A) having a static surface tension of from 23 to 70 mN/m and containing a poly(N-acylalkylene imine)-modified silicone and a cationic polymer onto a recording medium; and [3] a water-based ink set including an ink (A) having a static surface tension of from 23 to 70 mN/m and containing a poly(N-acylalkylene imine)-modified silicone and a cationic polymer, and a water-based ink (B) containing an anionic colorant. In accordance with the present invention, even when printed on a plain paper, the resulting printed images have a high optical density while forming ink dots having a round shape upon printing, and can exhibit an excellent image clarity and a high image quality without occurrence of severe strike-through.

    摘要: The present invention relates to (1) a process for producing a water dispersion for ink-jet printing containing colorant-containing polymer particles which includes a step I of obtaining a dispersion of colorant-containing polymer particles; a step II of obtaining a water dispersion of the colorant-containing polymer particles from the dispersion obtained in the step I; a step III of mixing the water dispersion obtained in the step II with an organic solvent (B) to suitably control a relative dielectric constant of a mixed solvent in the resultant dispersion, thereby precipitating the colorant-containing polymer particles; and a step IV of separating precipitates obtained in the step III from the dispersion and re-dispersing the precipitates in a water-based solvent; (2) a water-based ink for ink-jet printing which is excellent in ejection stability and optical density; (3) a process for purifying a water dispersion for ink-jet printing; and (4) a process for producing a dispersion containing groups of fine particles.
