Abstract:
The invention relates to an articulated vehicle consisting of several vehicle parts (1, 2) which are couplable together, each vehicle part (1, 2) comprising at least two axles and one coupling frame (12) that is connected to said vehicle part (1, 2) through a bellows (13), a joint device (20, 31) being provided between said vehicle part (1, 2) and said coupling frame (12), said joint device (20, 31) comprising a coupling carrier (30) that is located approximately in the plane of said coupling frame (12), said coupling carrier (30) comprising at least coupling means (25) for coupling to the joint device (20, 31) of the other vehicle part (1, 2).
Abstract:
A substrate with an HF-compatible line arranged in this substrate will be proposed that is formed similar to a tri-plate strip line in which, however, at least one of the ground planes has a slot that follows the profile of the signal line arranged between two ground planes. With the aid of this slot, the capacitive constant of the line can be lowered and thus the impedance of the line can be increased.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention relate to a method, system, and storage medium for providing automated call acknowledgement services over a network. The method includes receiving a data request from a call-receiving device to acknowledge an incoming call from a calling device. The data request includes a phone number for the call-receiving device, a phone number or text address for the calling device, a message type, and a voice/text indicator selection. The method further includes retrieving a pre-defined acknowledgement message from a database based upon the message type and sending the pre-defined acknowledgement message to the calling device in lieu of answering the incoming call.
Abstract:
Embodiments relate to a method, system, and storage medium for providing automated execution of pre-defined events over a network. The method includes receiving a profile for a requestor of an event to be executed. The profile includes one or more of a personal identifier, a communications address of the requester, and an event recipient identifier for identifying an individual or entity that is the object of the event. The method further includes receiving events defined for execution at a future time, which includes receiving a unique command for identifying the predefined event, and receiving an identifier for a target entity to which a request for event execution will be sent. The method also includes receiving a request to execute at least one of the events and executing the at least one of the events on behalf of the requestor.
Abstract:
A method of processing a received communication at a recipient communication device includes receiving the communication and determining if the communication is designated urgent. If the communication is urgent, at least one parameter of the recipient communication device is altered in response to urgent information accompanying the urgent communication. Receipt of the urgent communication is signaled at the recipient communication device.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a corridor connection (1) of a connection having a bellows between two vehicles connected together by a joint (30), e.g., of an articulated bus or a vehicle with a trailer, the corridor connection (1) comprising two overlapping bottom plates (2, 3) that are slidable relative to each other, said joint (30) including a joint carrier part (20) that is disposed on the one vehicle part, the lower bottom plate (2) slidably resting on said joint carrier part (20) and the upper bottom plate (3) resting on said lower bottom plate (2) in the region of said joint carrier part (20).
Abstract:
An apparatus for allowing a calling party to initiate a telephone call from an Internet-enabled device. The apparatus includes a server for receiving an originating telephone number and a destination telephone number in response to a command from the Internet-enabled device, for generating a call request, and for transmitting the request to a telecommunications network to request the network to establish a connection between the originating telephone number and the destination telephone number.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for tracking an object. An identification signal is received that identifies an identification tag associated with the object to be tracked. The identification signal is stored in memory of a cellular phone. When an incoming call is received at the cellular phone, then the information associated with the identification signal is uploaded to a network database. When an outgoing call is placed from the cellular phone, then the information associated with the identification signal may also be uploaded to the network database.
Abstract:
A surgical clip applier and methods for applying surgical clips to a vessel, duct, shunt, etc., during a surgical procedure are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a surgical clip applier is provided having a housing with a trigger movably coupled thereto and an elongate shaft extending therefrom with opposed jaws formed on a distal end thereof. The trigger is adapted to advance a clip to position the clip between the jaws, and to move the jaws from an open position to a closed position to crimp the clip positioned therebetween.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for managing communications of a user. Identity information relating to the user is received, and a notification of a communication from a communicating partner is received. The user's preference for withholding the communication is obtained. An entry in a message log is created for the withheld communication. The message log is displayed to the user, such that the user is not notified of receipt of the withheld communication, yet receipt of the withheld communication is logged in the message log
