Abstract:
The present invention relates to a medicament for use in a method of inducing a cellular cytotoxic immune response, the method comprising the steps of: i) administering to a patient a delivery system comprising (a) a molecule binding to a receptor on the surface of a dendritic cell, (b) an antigen-comprising protein bound to molecule of (a) and (c) a first adjuvant, wherein upon binding of the molecule of (a) to the receptor, the protein of (b) is internalized and processed in the dendritic cell and the antigen comprised in the protein is presented on the surface of the dendritic cell, thereby activating a T cell in the patient; and ii) administering to the patient a re-activator selected from the group consisting of (d) complexed interleukin 2 (IL-2cx), (e) a peptide-loaded major histocompatibility complex class I (MHC-I) presenting cell and a second adjuvant, and (f) a combination of (d) and (e), wherein the peptide is derived from the antigen-comprising protein as defined in step i), thereby reactivating the T cell activated in step i), wherein the re-activator of step ii) is administered in a time frame of from 0 h to 14 days after the administration of the delivery system of step i).
Abstract:
A battery assembly in one embodiment includes a battery case defining a first plurality of battery compartments and a second plurality of battery compartments, and a thermal plate defined between the first plurality of battery compartments and the second plurality of battery compartments, the thermal plate including a channel divider dividing the thermal plate into an inlet channel portion located between the first plurality of battery compartments and the second plurality of battery compartments, and an outlet channel portion located between the first plurality of battery compartments and the second plurality of battery compartments, wherein the channel divider includes a first divider portion which extends substantially parallel to outer sides of the inlet channel and the outlet channel, and a second divider portion which curves toward the outer side of the inlet channel portion thereby narrowing the inlet channel portion.
Abstract:
When a user is consuming media content from a first source, one or more other available sources of media content may be monitored and the user may be notified if other available content matches the user's profile.
Abstract:
A debris filter for a nuclear reactor installation is provided. The debris filter comprises a plurality of plates arranged side-by-side in a spaced relationship and delimiting between them flow passages extending through the debris filter from a lower inlet face to an upper outlet face of the debris filter, each passage having an intermediate section offset with respect to an inlet section and an outlet section. At least one of the plates is formed with debris catching features distributed along the plate and protruding into at least one passage delimited by the plate.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media provide for the detection, location stamping, and logging of electronic events and subsequent generation of habitat information. According to implementations, electronic events are detected and location stamped. Associated descriptions and other data corresponding to the electronic events is retrieved and stored along with the geographic locations of the electronic events in an activity log. The information in the activity log is used to generate visual representations of one or more geographic areas in which electronic events that meet user-defined or default criteria occurred within a predetermined frequency.
Abstract:
A joint (1) between two vehicle components (2, 3) joined to each other with a hinge, such as of an articulated vehicle, comprising an articulated joint (10), wherein the articulated joint (10) comprises two joint segments (11, 12) that are rotatably connected to each other by a tensioning device (20) acting as a vertical axis, the one, first joint segment (11) having a U-shaped, jaw-like opening (13) for seizing the other, second joint segment (12) in the region of the vertical axis, sliding devices (16) being provided between the joint segments (11, 12) and acting in at least the axial direction, the tensioning device (2) operable to generate pretension on the joint segments (11, 12), the one joint segment (11) having two joint segment elements (11a, 11b) that are each separately fastened with screws to the frame (40) of the vehicle frame (3).
Abstract:
A system and methods are provided for remotely recovering and purging data from a wireless device in a communications network. The system includes a wireless device capable of executing a data recovery/purge application program for receiving a message from a communications device in the network. The application program retrieves the data in the wireless device, purges the data from the wireless device, and sends a return message, including the data retrieved from the wireless device, to the communications device.
Abstract:
Systems and devices enabling a highly compact design for a fiber-based lasing and/or amplifying system are disclosed. In some instances, a tightly-coiled active optical fiber may be coupled with a seed source and a pump source for optical amplification and other applications. Such systems can be disposed in a small footprint package such as a butterfly package or a high heat load package. In some instances, the tightly-wound active optical fiber may further include a fiber Bragg grating adapted to accommodate bends in the active optical fiber. The active optical fiber may further utilize a cladding shaped to maintain an orientation of the active optical fiber in relation to a bend in the fiber.
Abstract:
A privacy screening service allows a subscriber to send a call screening request during a telephone call. The call screening request may comprise a Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency key (e.g., “Touch Tones”) on a telephone keypad, a softkey entry on a communications device, and/or a data message from an Internet Protocol phone or client application. The call screening request may store incoming line identification (ICLID) information of the connected communications signal in a database, add the ICLID information to a Do Not Call list, update a subscriber's profile with the ICLID information, and/or storing the ICLID information in a subscriber's blocked communications list. The Do Not Call list, the subscriber's profile, and/or the subscriber's blocked communications list may include communications instructions for the called number as well as include communications instructions for other registered communications addresses (e.g., other telephone numbers, an email address, and other communications addresses of the subscriber).
Abstract:
The subject matter of the invention is a fabric layer of a bellows, e.g., of a connection between two hinge-linked vehicles or of an aircraft passenger bridge, the fabric layer being plastically deformed by a force acting on the fabric.
