摘要: A method for manufacturing a three-dimensional (3D) object with an additive manufacturing system, comprising a step consisting in printing layers of the 3D object from the part material comprising a polymeric component comprising, based on the total weight of the polymeric component:
from 5 to 95 wt. % of at least one polymer (P1) comprising at least 50 mol. % of recurring units (R1) consisting of an arylene group comprising at least one benzene ring, each recurring unit (R1) being bound to each other through C—C bonds, wherein the recurring units (R1) are such that, based on the total number of moles of recurring units (R1):less than 90 mol. % are rigid rod-forming arylene units (R1-a), and at least 10 mol. % are kink-forming arylene units (R1-b), and
from 5 to 95 wt. % of at least one polymer (P2), having a glass transition temperature (Tg) between 140° C. and 265° C., and no melting peak, as measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) according to ASTM D3418.-

摘要: Described herein are polyamides (PA) incorporating a cycloaliphatic monomer containing a cyclohexyl group. It was surprisingly discovered that by incorporating the cycloaliphatic monomer containing a cyclohexyl group, the resulting polyamides (PA) had significantly reduced water absorption and significantly increased Tg, while maintaining high Tm, Tc and good mechanical properties, relative to analogous polyamides free of the cycloaliphatic monomer and PA6,T based polyamides copolymerized with either or both of isophthalic acid and adipic acid.

摘要: Described herein are polymer compositions including (i) a polymer blend containing an amorphous polyester copolymer and a semi-crystalline polyamide polymer (“polyester/polyamide blend”), (ii) 1 weight percent (wt. %) to 5 wt. % of an epoxy functionalized impact modifier and optionally (iii) one or more additives. It was surprisingly found that incorporation of a specific amount of an epoxy functionalized impact modifier into polymer compositions including a polyester/polyamide blend provided for significantly improved impact performance, relative to corresponding polymer compositions incorporating non-epoxy functionalized impact modifiers or corresponding polymer compositions free of impact modifiers. Due at least in part to the significantly improved impact performance and outstanding chemical resistance, the polymer compositions described herein can be incorporated in a wide variety of application settings, including but not limited to mobile electronic application settings.

摘要: Described herein are polyamides (PA) derived from the polycondensation of monomers in a reaction mixture comprising: (1) a diamine component (A) comprising 20 mol % to 95 mol % of a C4 to C12 aliphatic diamine, and 5 mol % to 80 mol % of a bis(aminoalkyl)cyclohexane, where mol % is relative to the total number of moles of all diamine monomers in the diamine component; and a dicarboxylic acid component (B) comprising: 30 mol % to 99 mol % of terephthalic acid and 1 mol % to 70 mol % of a cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid, wherein mol % is relative to the total number of moles of all dicarboxylic acid monomers in the dicarboxylic acid component. It was surprisingly discovered that, with the particular combination of the bis(aminoalkyl)cyclohexane and the cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid, the polyamides (PA) had, on the whole, improved thermal performance relative to analogous polyamides, in which the cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid is replaced with an aromatic dicarboxylic acid.
