摘要: A heated extruder for 3D printing of a cementitious material can include a mixing and deposition nozzle including a hopper in communication with a mixing tube, where the mixing tube can be in communication with a deposition tip. A heating element can be disposed on an outside surface of the mixing tube and configured to transfer heat to an interior portion of the mixing tube. An auger including a flight having a perforation can be disposed within the mixing tube. The auger can be configured to promote mixing and pumping of the cementitious material through the mixing tube to provide a homogeneous distribution of heat throughout the cementitious material when the heating element transfers heat to the interior portion of the mixing tube.

摘要: A method of making a fuel grain for use in a rocket motor, the method comprising blending a first energetic nanoscale metallic compound and a second compound suitable to form a feedstock material for use in an additive manufacturing apparatus, the additive manufacturing apparatus operatively connected to a computing system, that provides additive manufacturing printing instructions to the additive manufacturing apparatus, permitting construction of an autonomously designed and optimized rocket fuel grain section; wherein the stochastic deposition simulation-assisted fuel grain geometries further comprise a plurality of agglutinated layers of solidified fuel grain compound, each layer of the plurality of layers comprising a plurality of blended and radially displaced beads of different radii, said radial displacement optionally optimized via competitive simulation programs, and wherein the system continuously mixes constituent materials in an inline/static mixer, with viscosity controlled via particle size variations, and material is deposited in a controlled atmosphere or vacuum.

The base material is configured to deliver performance characteristics of the product that are preselected and the performance modifier is configured to enhance the performance characteristics. An encapsulation station produces particles of the performance modifier in a coating of the base material as an encapsulate powder. An additive manufacturing cell includes an energy source and is used to build the product from the encapsulate powder by an application of energy from the energy source.

The first end of the blade is a cutting end, and the second end of the blade is a drive end. The drive end of the blade has a surface configured to receive a force from outside of the device, such that the blade moves relative to the heater block.

摘要: A semi-crystalline blended polymer useful for additive manufacturing is comprised of an amorphous thermoplastic polymer and a thermoplastic semi-crystalline polymer, each of the polymers being essentially miscible in the other and being blended at a weight ratio of amorphous polymer/semi-crystalline polymer of greater that 1 to about 20. The semi-crystalline blended polymer displays a DSC melt peak enthalpy of at least about 3 joules/g. The semi-crystalline polymer may be made by blending the aforementioned polymers at the weight ratio and subject to heating between the melt temperature of the semi-crystalline polymer and the glass transition temperature of the amorphous polymer. The semi-crystalline blended polymer may revert to essentially an amorphous polymer when additive manufactured by fusing layers of said polymer powders together.
