Abstract:
A driving apparatus of a plasma display panel (PDP) and a method for displaying pictures on the plasma display panel, which are capable of increasing the ability to express a low gray scale. Common non-emitted sub-fields are detected, using picture signal data having the maximum level of the gray scale, of all input picture signal data within one frame of the input picture signal data. Sub-fields having higher weights are divided into a plurality of sub-fields having lower weights and the plurality of sub-fields having lower weights are rearranged as sub-fields for expression of gray scale, corresponding to the number of non-emitted sub-fields. In addition, the number of sustains corresponding to the rearranged sub-fields are generated.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a tape feeder for chip mounters. The tape feeder is constructed so that front and rear locators are restrained by a restraint slot of a cam slider moving horizontally, and bearings of the front and rear locators alternatively execute vertical and horizontal movements while sliding along the restraint slot by a reciprocating motion of a cam slider, thus repeatedly moving a carrier tape backward while locking the carrier tape and moving the carrier tape forward while releasing the carrier tape, therefore allowing the carrier tape to be fed precisely. The tape feeder allows the carrier tape to be fed precisely, and prevents chips from being turned over and removed from the carrier tape when a vinyl cover is discharged, thus minimizing a malfunction of the chip mounter during an operation of the chips and thereby maximizing operational reliability. Further, the tape feeder allows the number of elements to be reduced, in addition to achieving a slim construction. Thus, the number of tape feeders mounted to the chip mounter can be increased.
Abstract:
Conformationally constrained compounds that mimic the secondary structure of reverse-turn regions of biologically active peptides and proteins as well as their prodrugs are disclosed. Such reverse-turn mimetic structures and prodrugs have utility over a wide range of fields, including use as diagnostic and therapeutic agents. Libraries containing the reverse-turn mimetic structures of this invention are also disclosed as well as methods for screening the same to identify biologically active members. The invention also relates to the use of such compounds and prodrugs for inhibiting or treating disorders modulated by Wnt-signaling pathway, such as cancer, especially colorectal cancer, restenosis associated with angioplasty, polycystic kidney disease, aberrant angiogenesis disease, rheumatoid arthritis disease, tuberous sclerosis complex, Alzheimer's disease, excess hair growth or loss, or ulcerative colitis.
Abstract:
An apparatus for driving a plasma display panel and a method for processing pictures of a plasma display panel. An input video signal is converted into sub-field data. It is determined whether address consumption power of the sub-field data is high. When the address consumption power is high, interlaced scanning is carried out. It is determined whether lines having sub-field data items identical or similar in a row direction exist using the sub-field data. The lines are sequentially scanned. Accordingly, the number of times of switching address electrodes is reduced and thus the address consumption power is decreased.
Abstract:
An after-image prevention apparatus and method for a plasma display panel having a plurality of address electrodes and a plurality of scan and sustain electrodes arranged in pairs and in a zigzag pattern. An average signal level until the current frame from currently input picture data and an average signal level of each cell until the previous frame as stored in a memory section is calculated. The average signal level is compared with the picture data. An attenuation coefficient is generated corresponding to the difference between the average signal level and the picture data. The picture data is multiplied by the attenuation coefficient to output correction data, thereby preventing an after-image phenomenon on the plasma display panel.

Abstract:
A gray scale expression method in a plasma display panel (PDP) and a driving apparatus for the PDP improves color coordinate adjustment. When the brightness coefficient of an input image signal is varied step by step in accordance with an external adjustment signal, a dithering algorithm is applied to the image signal to vary the gray scale of the image signal by 0.25 for every variation of the brightness coefficient. The dithering algorithm is applied to the pixels or frames of the input image signal such that the pixels or frames exhibit opposite characteristics in a time direction.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition which mimics the extracellular matrix to stimulate the regeneration of skin cells, and more particularly to a cosmetic composition which contains active ingredients consisting of low-molecular-weight materials, which easily permeate through the skin, at a composition ratio similar to that in the extracellular matrix. The cosmetic composition stimulates the repair of the skin to maintain homeostasis and is effective for the regeneration of skin cells.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a low noise frequency converter capable of oscillating various frequencies according to the user's selection. The user selects at least one or more frequencies from among a plurality of frequencies. The low noise frequency converter receives a control signal from the user, and oscillates a frequency selected by the user according to the received control signal. The low noise frequency converter uses the oscillated frequencies for frequency conversion.
