Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for dynamically adjusting beamforming weights based on an azimuthal change request. A proposed azimuth change of an antenna is received, such as at a base station, where the proposed azimuth change is for remote azimuth steering of the antenna. A potential inter-cell interference is determined based on the proposed azimuth change. Based on the potential inter-cell interference, it can be predicted whether the proposed azimuth change can be made. The response, as to whether or not the proposed azimuth change can be made or not, is communicated to the base station.

Abstract: A system for mobile communication device upgrade delivery and configuration. The system comprises a processor, a non-transitory memory, and a business process management application stored in the non-transitory memory. When executed by the processor, the application receives a message from a device upgrade client application executing on a mobile communication device requesting an upgrade mobile communication device, accesses data associated with the mobile communication device requesting the upgrade device stored in an interaction history data store, and analyzes the data accessed from the interaction history data store. The business process management application further, based on the analysis of the data and based on the model of upgrade device, recommends pick-up of the upgrade device in a retail store, identifies a retail store, and sends a recommendation message to the device upgrade client application that the upgrade mobile communication device be picked up at the retail store.

Abstract: A universal integrated circuit card (UICC) smart card is disclosed. The UICC smart card comprises a processor, a non-transitory memory, a call control application stored in the non-transitory memory, and an application stored in the non-transitory memory. The call control application, when executed by the processor, receives dialed digits from a dialer application executing on a mobile communication device, wherein the UICC smart card is communicatively coupled to the mobile communication device and distributes the dialed digits within the UICC smart card. The application, when executed by the processor, receives the dialed digits distributed by the call control application, identifies a short code included in the dialed digits, selects instructions stored in the non-transitory memory based on the short code, and configures the UICC smart card by causing the processor to execute the selected instructions.

Abstract: A method of providing a wireless communication link to a mobile communication device. The method comprises providing a first wireless communication link by a first WiFi access point (AP) to the mobile device, where the first AP broadcasts a first SSID, establishing a communication session between the mobile device and a destination communication device via the first wireless communication link, determining locations of the mobile device by a server, and, based on a change of the locations of the mobile device, sending a WiFi handoff command by the server to a second WiFi AP, where the WiFi handoff command comprises authentication credentials of the mobile device. The method further comprises providing a second wireless communication link based on the authentication credentials by a second AP to the mobile device, where the second AP broadcasts the first SSID and the communication session is continued over the second wireless communication link.

Abstract: A wireless access point serves dynamic direction-of-arrival reception. An access point radio wirelessly receives a wireless signal that transports time-domain data. Access point circuitry determines uplink utilization for the access point radio. The circuitry transforms the time-domain data into frequency-domain data. The circuitry filters the frequency-domain data for one direction-of-arrival responsive to the uplink utilization. The circuitry synthesizes the time-domain data from the filtered frequency-domain data. The radio wirelessly receives another wireless signal that transports additional time-domain data. The circuitry determines a higher uplink utilization for the access point radio. The circuitry transforms the additional time-domain data into additional frequency-domain data. The circuitry filters the additional frequency-domain data for multiple directions-of-arrival responsive to the higher uplink utilization. The circuitry synthesizes the additional time-domain data from the filtered additional frequency-domain data.
