In a liquid crystal display device, there is provided a liquid crystal display panel in which a TFT substrate and a counter substrate are bonded together by a sealing material, with a liquid crystal sandwiched between the substrates. Further, a front window with a black border print formed in the periphery is bonded to the liquid crystal display panel by a UV curable resin. The liquid crystal, is filled by a drop method. The thickness of the TFT substrate and the counter substrate is reduced to about 0.2 mm toy polishing. An inner end of the black border print of the front window is inside an inner end or the sealing material, to prevent the counter substrate of the liquid crystal display panel from being deformed by stress generated In the curing of the UV curable resin, thereby preventing yellow discoloration in the periphery of the display area.

The present invention relates to a cleaning method using dry ice pellets that make it possible to efficiently peel off a UV resin. The cleaning method according to the present invention is a method for cleaning a surface of an object to be cleaned that is fixed to a fixture by blowing dry ice pellets against the above-described object using dry air. The dry air has a dew point of −60° C. to −80° C. A nozzle for jetting the dry air and the dry ice pellets against the surface of the object is provided, and the distance between the nozzle and the surface of the object is 5 mm to 70 mm. The shape of the nozzle in a cross-section is circular, elliptical or rectangular.

A dielectric ceramic-forming composition comprising a perovskite (ABO3)-type ceramic raw material powder, and a glass powder containing, on an oxide basis, 35% by weight to 90% by weight of Bi2O3, 2.5% by weight to 20% by weight of ZnO, 1% by weight to 20% by weight of B2O3, 0.5% by weight to 15% by weight of SiO2, 0.5% by weight to 15% by weight of an alkali metal oxide, and 0.1% by weight to 35% by weight of an alkaline earth metal oxide, wherein 1% by weight to 15% by weight of the glass powder is blended with respect to the dielectric ceramic-forming composition, which can be fired at temperature lower than conventional temperature and can provide a dielectric ceramic material having high relative permittivity.

In a liquid crystal display device having a front window, light from a backlight is prevented from leaking through chamfered edges of the front window. An upper polarizing plate is formed on an opposing substrate and a light shielding material is formed abutting on an outer edge of the upper polarizing plate. Edges of the upper polarizing plate are located inward of edges of the front window. The upper polarizing plate and the front window are bonded with a boding material including an ultraviolet curable resin. The ultraviolet curable resin also lies over the light shielding material. Chamfers are formed in the front window and the ultraviolet curable resin does not adhere to the chamfers of the front window. By this structure, light from the backlight is prevented from entering the internal part of the front window through the chamfers of the front window and light leakage is prevented.

A first alignment mark and a second alignment mark for performing the alignment of a flexible printed circuit board with a display substrate are attached to left and right sides of a group of lines which are formed on the flexible printed circuit board. Further, when at least one of the first alignment mark and the second alignment mark is equally divided into four areas, a shape of the alignment mark in at least one area is a shape obtained by folding back the shape of the alignment mark in other areas.

A display device of the invention includes a display panel attached to one face side of a light transmissive circuit board and a light transmissive substrate attached to the other face side of the circuit board. A mounted component is mounted on the other face side of the circuit board. The circuit board includes a light transmissive junction layer for joining the circuit board to the light transmissive substrate at a position avoiding the mounted component. The junction layer includes a core substrate formed of a resin, an adhesive layer formed on one face of the core substrate, and a bonding layer formed on the other face of the core substrate and cured. The adhesive layer is adhered to the circuit board, and the bonding layer is firmly fixed to the light transmissive substrate.

When being blended in a toner, a barium titanate external additive for toner enhances, in particular, the toner fluidity, electrical properties, and other relevant performance; concurrently achieves high image density and reduced background fog in a printer using the toner; and further reduces image defects, such as void, fading, and the like. An industrially advantageous producing method of the barium titanate external additive for toner is also provided. The external additive for toner of the present invention includes spherical barium titanate having a specific gravity of 5.6 g/ml or less.

An electrical plug connector comprises an insulating plastic base and a first and second series of elongate metal contact security respective opposite major faces of the base by an in-molding step so that respective back surfaces of the contacts and parts of their side surfaces are embedded in the plastic material while connecting surfaces are exposed for engagement with a complementary connector. During the in-molding process a cavity is formed between the two series of contacts at a rear end of the base by a mold member supporting rear ends of the contacts of respective series in spaced apart, parallel relation while front ends of the contacts are supported by attachment to respective carrier strips. A plug is force fitted into the cavity subsequent to molding supporting the rear ends of the contacts. Leading, front ends of the contacts have laterally extending anchoring portions and tapering, inwardly extending tips completely covered by the plastic material to ensure double securement to the base.
