摘要: The production of an oxygen-absorbent composition is provided, having: (a) a porous silica encapsulation matrix; and (b) a composition containing an oxygen-absorbent compound selected from fatty acids, unsaturated esters or compounds containing same, and, optionally, a catalyst based on an inorganic salt of a transition metal, wherein the composition (b) is encapsulated in the porous silica matrix (a). The composition can form part of the structure of the packaging for oxidation sensitive products or be placed in the surrounding atmosphere to reduce the concentration of oxygen. A method for encapsulating the active compound or the active compound together with a catalyst, and subsequently incorporating same into polymer matrices is also provided.

摘要: The present invention overcomes all the above drawbacks and provides a versatile method for the fabrication of multilayer hollow tubes that uses a layer-by-layer rod dipping approach using different biomaterials. The device enables fine control over fabrication parameters, such as ascending/descending speeds, rod rotational velocity, and crosslinking or polymerization time. All these technologies allows the generation of more complex multilayer hollow tubes such as vessel-like structures, urethral grafting, prostate grafting and the like.

摘要: Some embodiments are directed to a system for assessing chloride concentration at one predetermined area of a porous or composite material, such as a reinforced concrete structure, including a sensor embedded in the predetermined area of the material, an analyzer connected to the sensor, and a processing module connected to the analyzer. The sensor includes two facing or coplanar electrodes, an intermediate layer arranged between the electrodes, the intermediate layer being in contact with the material of the predetermined area of the structure and including calcium aluminates. The analyzer is configured to apply an alternate current between the electrodes and output an impedance value or capacitance value of the intermediate layer. The processing module is configured to compute a chloride concentration assessment in the predetermined area of the material based on the impedance value or capacitance value outputted by the analyser.

摘要: The present invention patent relates to lighting lamps composed of LEDs which emit monochromatic or colored light and can produce, by interaction mechanisms and technology-supported narration models, behavioral changes in humans and other living beings by displaying texts, graphics or motion pictures using the light, and are previously programmed as encapsulated narrations which can be triggered by the users, providing novel aesthetic experiences. These aesthetic experiences are useful for managing anxiety, sleep cycles, changing habits, providing different forms of perceiving the environment, improving relationships, improving communication, improving self-esteem, the utilization of time, the regulation of the circadian cycle, decision-making on the basis of climate-relevant information, the analysis of activity in the environment, the awareness of consumption costs. This is possible because these lamps can operate at different light intensities, use biometrics, environment sensors and communication devices, and provide an interface for humans and other living beings with the technology.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for obtaining the chromatic attributes of natural surroundings, which can be used, under the same parameters, in artificial surroundings or mixed surroundings, by means of digital extraction by taking photographs to generate colour patterns (natural surroundings are understood to be those linked to the environment and include landscape, vegetation and fauna; artificial surroundings are those in which humans and/or built; and mixed surroundings involve physical characteristics of artificial and natural surroundings). This method is intended to obtain chromatic palettes used on any type of surface that functions as an imitating factor in diverse fields of application, such as: biosecurity, well-being associated with chromatic perception, colour psychology, eco-urban landscape, colour trends in dress and products, management of indoor and outdoor spaces, and even for the military sector, insofar as the physical and technical principles would be the same as for the civil sector.

摘要: The present invention is focused on an in vitro method for identifying or screening human subjects at risk of suffering from a pregnancy related disease, in particular from gestational diabetes mellitus or preeclampsia, departing from the level of expression or concentration of a series of biomarkers isolated from a minimally-invasive sample such as gingival crevicular fluid (GCF). Moreover, the method of the invention offers high sensitivity and specificity at an early stage of the pregnancy (see the Examples and figures shown below), which means that it is a strong and cost-effective method for the detection of a pregnancy related disease, in particular gestational diabetes mellitus or preeclampsia, at an early stage of the disease thus procuring effective treatment, avoiding significant long-term adverse effects for both mother and baby.
