Abstract:
A parking brake for a commercial vehicle equipped with an air-operated service brake is configured in such a way that the actuating energy for the brake is reduced in comparison to a configuration with a spring brake cylinder, while the installation space in the wheel area is minimized. Primary functional parts of the parking brake include an inner race and an outer race, which delimit an annular gap. Displaceable tapered-roller bearings are located in the annular gap. To adopt a release position in opposition to the action of a compression spring, the tapered roller bearings are disengaged from the conical surfaces of the inner race and the outer race.

A heat exchanger for a refrigerator unit has a plurality of fins arranged essentially parallel to one another. At least some of the fins are not smooth in part and smooth in part.
Abstract:
An intake filter for an internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle including an unfiltered air intake region, a filter medium and a filtered air conduit, in which the unfiltered air intake region is arranged beneath the engine hood of the motor vehicle and is attached to the engine hood. The filter medium is tubular body which has a porosity that ensures a sufficient filtration of the intake air for the internal combustion engine.
Abstract:
A hand shower has a handle having an outer part extending along a handle axis and having an outer face and a shower head forming at least one spray opening directed along a spray axis extending nonparallel to the handle axis. A pivot between the handle and shower head allows pivoting of the head on the handle about a pivot axis inclined at 30° to 90° to the handle axis, normally 45°. The pivot axis extends at an angle between 35° and 50° to the spray axis.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle door lock has a rotary latch with a holding recess formed in it. The rotary latch has a main catch with a catch surface formed on it. A key collar has a pin that is adapted to be received in the holding recess. A pivotally mounted detent pawl is biased in an engagement direction and has a catch lever having an opposing catch surface formed on it which is adapted to engage the catch surface of the main catch in a catch position. The catch lever and a support lever are pivotally mounted on an axle to pivot with respect to one another about an axis in the catch position in which the detent pawl is biased by a spring element into an extended position. An actuating element is disposed on the rotary latch, and the spring element cooperates with the actuating element to bias the detent pawl into the extended position when said actuating element engages the spring element. The rotary latch executes an overstroke when the motor vehicle door closes, and the spring element biases the detent pawl into the extended position prior to or during the overstroke.
Abstract:
The subject of the invention is a key collar for a motor vehicle door lock or the like including a key collar support plate fixedly attached on a support sheet, and a collar element supported on the collar support plate which, in operation, engages a lock catch of the motor vehicle door lock or the like. Optionally, the key collar includes an elastomer arrangement which allows the collar element to move a limited distance relative to the collar support plate in the plane of the collar support plate thereby better meeting the different requirements of normal use conditions and during a vehicle crash. In operation, the collar element of a preferred embodiment is supported on the collar support plate on two spaced bearing points, one bearing point with a trailing bridge in a manner that collar element can be swivelled around an axis which is perpendicular to collar support plate, and another bearing point with a leading bridge which can be displaced in corresponding arc-shaped crank.
Abstract:
A method for checking the operational capability of a fuel tank ventilation valve (7) of a fuel tank ventilation system of a motor vehicle with an internal combustion engine (1) having an intake manifold pressure-based detection of filling levels is thereby characterized in that the fuel tank ventilation valve (7) is selectively activated to open or close and in correlation to this the operational capability of the fuel tank ventilation valve (7) is suggested from the thereby resulting intake manifold pressure (ps).

Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for adjusting a vehicle seat, the frame structure (4, 5, 6) of which can be adjusted using drive motors (40) having presupported gear units (39), and the vehicle seat is accommodated on two seat rails (1, 2) arranged parallel to each other. The frame structure (4, 5, 6) of the vehicle seat can be adjusted spherically using lifting elements (8, 9, 10) in two planes separated from each other.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for load limitation in a aircraft high lift system, said system comprising individual segments of landing flap systems and slat flap systems, and a drive unit. The inventive device for load limitation comprises a control unit that is connected to position sensors and is embodied in such a way as to process signals from the position sensors and to generate a signal for limiting the supplied drive power. The invention also relates to a method for load limitation. According to said method, signals from at least two position sensors are measured; at least one reference variable is calculated form the measured signals; each reference variable is compared with a corresponding threshold value pre-determined from a maximum authorized load; and a control signal is generated for limiting the drive power, when at least one of the reference variables reaches or exceeds the threshold value.
