    摘要: The intake device for an engine includes a carburetor section and an air cleaner section. The carburetor section includes a body having an intake passage which has an opening communicating with the air cleaner section and a choke valve being a butterfly valve having a plate-like valve body. The air cleaner section includes an air filter, an air-flow chamber provided between the air filter and the intake passage, and a reverse-flow restriction surface provided within the air-flow chamber. The air cleaner section further includes a plate-like partition extending from a location near an air-cleaner side periphery of the valve body of the choke valve in the full-open position to a location near the reverse-flow restriction surface so as to continue the periphery.

    摘要: A raincap precleaner is provided according to the present invention. The raincap precleaner includes a sleeve, a cover, and a precleaner assembly. The sleeve is constructed for mounting on an air intake stack and has an air intake flow region for delivering intake air to the air intake stack. The cover includes a top portion having an annular circumference and a depending flange portion extending from the annular circumference of the top portion. The cover is arranged relative to the sleeve to provide a precleaner area and a precleaned air chamber. The precleaner assembly is provided extending around a periphery of the sleeve and in the precleaner area so that environmental air flows through the precleaner assembly and into the precleaned air chamber, and from the precleaned air chamber into the air intake flow region. The precleaner assembly comprises a plurality of inertial separators. A method for precleaning air and a motor vehicle are provided.

A fluid treatment element may be arranged in the flow path and configured to treat exhaust gas. A conduit may be fluidly connected with at least one of the housing ports and may have first and second tubular portions. The first portion may have a first cross-section with an inner diameter, and the second portion may have a generally elongated second cross-section with an inner width and an inner length. The inner length of the second cross-section of the conduit may be smaller than the inner diameter of the first cross-section of the conduit, and the inner width of the second cross-section of the conduit may be greater than the inner diameter of the first cross-section of the conduit.
