Abstract:
A method of forming a cap layer over a dielectric layer on a substrate including forming a plasma from a process gas including oxygen and tetraethoxysilane, and depositing the cap layer on the dielectric layer, where the cap layer comprises a thickness of about 600 Å or less, and a compressive stress of about 200 MPa or more. Also, a method of forming a cap layer over a dielectric layer on a substrate including forming a process gas by flowing together about 200 mgm to about 8000 mgm of tetraethoxysilane, about 2000 to about 20000 sccm of oxygen (O2), and about 2000 sccm to about 20000 sccm of carrier gas, generating a plasma from the process gas, where one or more RF generators supply about 50 watts to about 100 watts of low frequency RF power to the plasma, and about 100 watts to about 600 watts of high frequency RF power to the plasma, and depositing the cap layer on the dielectric layer.
Abstract:
A method for establishing a multimedia session between a calling telecommunications equipment and a called equipment that is a mobile equipment of a network of the multimedia sub-domain type, wherein: an invitation (Invite) is sent from the first user equipment (UE1) to establish a multimedia session, which comprises as he destination address a public identity of the second equipment, said invitation being transmitted: by the first equipment (UE1) to a first proxy server (P-CSCF1), then, from this first proxy server, to a first session control server (S-CSCF1) of the network in which the first equipment (UE1) is registered, and from this first session server (S-CSCF1) to a point of entry server (I-CSCF2) of the network corresponding to the destination address of the second equipment (UE2); this point of entry server (I-CSCF2) interrogates a database (HSS2) of the network of the second equipment (UE2) in order to obtain the address of a session control server (S-CSF2) responsible for said second equipment (UE2); when said second equipment (UE2) is registered in said database: said point of entry server (I-CSCF2) transmits the invitation message to the selected session server (S-CSCF2), and said session server (S-CSCF2) transmits the invitation message to a proxy server (P-CSCF2) corresponding to the second equipment, wherein the proxy server (P-CSCF2) transmits this invitation message by encapsulating it in an IP packet to the second equipment via an appropriate transit node (GGSN).
Abstract:
Beta-amyloid peptide (βA) is a major fibrillar component of neuritic plaques in Alzheimer's disease brains and is related to the pathogenesis of the disease. βA generation depends on proteolytic cleavage of the amyloid precursor protein (APP). The present invention is a new procedure for the cloning of human βA precursor protein gene (human APP gene) based on the reverse transcription (RT) and the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). This procedure for cloning human APP gene by means of RT-PCR reactions is cost-effective, not time-consuming, and is suited for any laboratory. The present invention also includes a new procedure for the construction of expression plasmids, a/ using the pFastBac™ HTb and the pBlueBacHis2 A transfer vectors for the purpose of obtaining human APP in insect cells; and b/ using the pET-28a (+) transfer vector for the purpose of obtaining human APP in bacteria. The present invention makes it easier to obtain full-length APP which is essential for the identification of biological activities that occur in the APP molecule and for the identification of proteases capable of creating βA. Knowing which protease creates βA is important for the exploration of therapeutic and preventative strategies for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for a user interface for stylus-based user input is described. In one aspect, a stylus-based user input is received. Responsive to receiving the input, a menu is displayed. The menu includes selectable items to allow a user, by selecting one of the selectable items, to direct the computer system to generate right-mouse button input or to interpret one or more subsequent stylus-based user inputs as hover cursor input, keyboard-like input, or handwriting input.
Abstract:
Noise is removed from the digitized output of a sensor, subject to undesired resonance, even when the resonant frequency is unknown or drifts, with sufficiently low phase delay for the sensor to be used in closed-loop control. A very narrow notch filter which removes the resonance-induced noise is recursive (IIR) and therefore has a low phase delay. However, the apparatus which determines the center frequency of the notch filter is non-recursive, and therefore stable. It includes a tunable FIR filter which tracks the same resonance that we wish the IIR filter to remove. Tuning the FIR filter to minimize the output of the FIR filter therefore tunes the notch frequency to align with the resonant frequency. The tuning parameter which adaptively produces this result is suitably scaled and biased, and is applied to the IIR filter.
Abstract:
A method of and printing system for printing a multiple page print job on a print medium. A shingling sequence for a first page of the multiple page print job is opened by successively passing a printhead over the print medium and the first page is printed in a steady state mode of the printhead. The steady state mode of the printhead is maintained during a transition between printing the first page and printing a second page of the multiple page print job, such that the second page is printed as a continuation of the shingling sequence for the first page.
Abstract:
A window lifter comprises a cable, a window linkage driven by the cable, a fixed device and a cable redirecting device. The cable redirecting device is rotatably mounted on the fixed device and adapted to automatically lock onto the fixed device upon reaching a predetermined angular position. In addition, the cable redirecting device has a cable guiding portion which is not a figure of revolution about the axis of rotation relative to the fixed device. This window lifting mechanism provides a simple structure with few elements. Its assembly is also simple: the cable-redirecting device is rotatably mounted on the fixed device; it is thereafter rotated for tensioning the cable and then locked in a position where the cable is tensioned.
Abstract:
In a cellular mobile telecommunication system, an intelligent network service subscriber can place an originating intelligent network (IN) service call from an area that is not supported by an IN capable mobile switching center. After determining that the call is an IN service call, the non-IN capable mobile switching center will forward the call to a specially configured IN gateway which is programmed to notify the IN subscriber's home location register and service control point. The home location register and service control point then return the appropriate routing instructions to the IN gateway, which in turn forwards the originating IN service call to the intended party.
Abstract:
An exercise apparatus has a base, a first vertical support and a second vertical support. The base has at least one horizontal support. The at least one horizontal support has a first end and a second end. First vertical support and second vertical support each have two vertical members spaced from each other and connected to a bottom support. The bottom support of the first vertical support is attached to the first end of the at least one horizontal support of the base and the bottom support of the second vertical support is attached to the second end of the at least one horizontal support of the base. The first vertical support and the second vertical support are opposite each other. At least one anchor is positioned on each of the vertical supports for removably connecting a resistance band to each of the vertical supports.
