Abstract: Systems and methods related to “on/off” determinations regarding the performance of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring during connected mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) on duration windows are disclosed herein. In some cases, a radio access network (RAN) predicts whether a downlink (DL) packet for a UE will arrive at a buffer of the RAN prior to an end of a CDRX on duration window of the UE, and sends a downlink control information (DCI) with a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a power-saving radio network temporary identifier (PS-RNTI) (DCP) for the CDRX on duration window indicating whether or not the UE should perform PDCCH monitoring during the CDRX on duration window based on the prediction. In some cases, a UE determines a current state of DL traffic and adaptively uses DCP monitoring based on the current state of the traffic. Aggregation level adaptation by the RAN is also discussed.

Abstract: A wireless network may include a PCELL base station, an SCELL base station, and user equipment (UE) that communicate using standalone carrier aggregation. The UE may receive PCELL signals during first measurement periods, may perform first measurements on the PCELL signals, may receive SCELL signals during second measurement periods, and may perform second measurements on the SCELL signals. When a scheduled reporting time approaches, the UE may compare a duration between a most recent of the second measurement periods and the reporting time to a threshold. If the duration is less than the threshold, the UE may include the most recent second measurement in a measurement report transmitted at the scheduled reporting time. When the duration exceeds the threshold, the receiver may perform a third measurement on the SCELL signals during an unscheduled period prior to the reporting time and may include the third measurement in the measurement report.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses disclosed herein can compensate for imbalances between multiple transport streams of an uplink (UL)-multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) transmission. These systems, methods, and apparatuses can adjust one or more signal metrics of multiple recovered transport streams of the UL-MIMO transmission that are received in the presence of imbalances between the multiple transport streams of the UL-MIMO transmission. As an example, these systems, methods, and apparatuses can inject noise into one or more of the multiple recovered transport streams to adjust the one or more signal metrics of the multiple recovered transmission streams to lessen the imbalances between the multiple transmission streams.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing collisions of transmission data for a first subscriber (e.g., a voice subscriber) with transmission data for a second subscriber (e.g., a data subscriber) at a dual sim dual active (DSDA) user equipment (UE) are described herein. A DSDA UE may be configured to implement a modified skipUplinkTxDynamic feature that avoids collisions by buffering transmission data of the data subscriber and sending a (later) scheduling request (SR) for a grant for that data. A DSDA UE may regulate data subscriber transmissions to avoid a transmission duration for the voice subscriber. A DSDA UE may reduce certain transmissions for a voice subscriber (subject to a block error rate (BLER) threshold for the voice subscriber) to lower the probability of collision. A DSDA UE may operate a data subscriber and a voice subscriber in the same cell to avoid collisions due to RF tuning and/or relative slot overlap.
