According to one aspect disclosed herein, a performance monitoring SDN controller can translate an intent specified by a performance monitoring application into a flow rule and an action set to be utilized by a performance monitoring SDN element to process a packet flow received from the target SDN network. The performance monitoring SDN controller can provide the flow rule and the action set to a performance monitoring SDN element, which can receive the packet flow from the target SDN network and can analyze the packet flow in accordance with the flow rule to match the packet flow to an action included within the action set. The performance monitoring SDN element can execute the action to monitor a performance metric of the packet flow and to provide a value for the performance metric to the performance monitoring application agent, which can generate a message that includes the value.

Methods, computer-readable storage media and apparatuses for processing a multi-factor request are disclosed. A processor receives, over a communication network, a request for a service having a plurality of factors, wherein a satisfaction rating is provided for each of the plurality of factors by a user, searches for a service that attempts to meet the satisfaction rating for each of the plurality of factors, provides a reservation that meets the satisfaction rating for a subset of the plurality of factors, updates dynamically, over the communication network, the reservation to meet the satisfaction rating for another factor that was not part of the subset of the plurality of factors, and presents a rebate or a charge in response to the updating of the reservation.
Abstract:
Passive location estimation of mobile devices within a wireless network is provided. The passive location estimation is determined based on one or more measurements that are received from the mobile device and/or from one or more network elements. At least a portion of the passive information can be received in user plane data associated with an application executing on the mobile device. A measurement set for the mobile device can be defined and can be used to build fingerprints of geographical cellular measurements.

Methods, computer-readable media and apparatuses for unifying a plurality of user accounts on different social media applications are disclosed. A processor of a mobile endpoint device detects a collection trigger, connects the mobile endpoint device to a plurality of different social media applications, collects a content from one of the plurality of different social media applications of a user based upon the collection trigger, connects the mobile endpoint device to a server that is located remotely from the mobile endpoint device, and sends the content to the server, wherein the server is for providing the content to a connection of the user in at least one of the different social media applications.

Diverting communication content directed to a wireless device based on a determined state of a display of the wireless device is presented herein. A method can include receiving state information representing a display state of a display of a wireless device; and in response to determining, based on the state information, that the display has been inactive for a defined period of time, redirecting communication content that has been directed to the wireless device to an intermediary device. In an example, the redirecting can include storing the communication content in the intermediary device as stored content, and in response to determining, based on the state information, that the display has been active, sending, via the intermediary device, the stored content directed to the wireless device.
