Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards session mapping in multi-access communication networks. A main session can be established between a mobile edge computing device (MEC) and a core network. The MEC can also establish multiple respective virtual sessions with multiple respective access network computing devices, and the MEC can map the main session to the multiple respective virtual sessions. A user equipment (UE) can connect to any of the respective access network computing devices, thereby communicating via any of the respective virtual sessions.

Abstract: In response to a determination that network communication traffic at a network node relates to an emergency communication, a network controller can be operable to analyze a network condition associated with the network node. Based on an analysis of the network condition, the network controller can facilitate an adjustment to a partition of an integrated access and backhaul link. The network controller can further be operative to determine whether an operator policy is applicable to the adjustment of the partition. Additionally, the network controller can be operable to facilitate the selection of a path to route the emergency communication based upon the network condition and the operator policy.

Abstract: Automatic neighbor relationships (ANR) can be implemented within a radio access network intelligent controller (RIC), which receives load information from network nodes and user equipment measurements from user equipment. The operations comprise: obtaining first information associated with a first condition of a terrestrial radio network of terrestrial radio networks from a terrestrial controller that collects the first information from the terrestrial radio networks; determining second information associated with a resource of a satellite network, wherein the satellite network is integrated with the terrestrial radio networks to form an integrated network to which a mobile device connects, wherein a defined application is alternatively executable at the mobile device via any of a group of networks, the group comprising the satellite network and the terrestrial radio networks; and determining whether to re-assign the defined application from the terrestrial radio network to the satellite network based on a result of evaluating at least the first condition.

Abstract: A framework for dynamic network resource allocation and energy saving based on the real-time environment, radio network information, and machine learning (ML) can be utilized via a radio access network (RAN) intelligent controller (RIC). Real-time and predicted network utilization can facilitate resource and energy savings by leveraging the RIC platform. For example, a network information base (NIB) in the RIC platform can collects RAN and user equipment (UE) resource related information in real time and provides the abstraction of the access network in the real time. ML can predict real-time information about the UEs at time t based on data analytics and real time radio resource needs. The RIC can then instruct the network to reduce or increase resources.

Abstract: Peripheral devices such as wearables can link to mobile devices to access network elements. These peripheral devices can comprise a communication part and a processing part. Each of these parts, specially the processing part of the next item in a communication chain, can be multiple times larger and stronger than the previous linked item. For instance, the peripheral device can be connected to the mobile device which can be in line connected to an NodeB device. Because the processing power of mobile device can be several times stronger than the peripheral, a mobile edge computing platform and a multi-access application function facilitate sharing of processing power capabilities between the peripheral devices, mobile devices, and/or the NodeB devices.
