摘要： A coating liquid application apparatus is provided which can apply a coating liquid, such as a coating agent for improving a weatherability of a printed surface, to the printed surface of a print medium automatically and at high speed. For this purpose, this invention uses application mechanisms to apply the coating liquid to the print medium that was ink-printed with an image. Each application mechanism has a pair of rollers supplied with the coating liquid. Multiple stages of such application mechanisms are provided. The print medium is passed between the paired rollers successively from one application mechanism to another to apply the coating liquid to the print medium in a plurality of stages.

摘要： A transparent film for forming, e.g., a toner image thereon is provided as an optically transparent sheet member having an opaque part. During the image forming, the position and conveyance state of the transparent film are detected optically by utilizing the opaque part. After the image formation, the opaque part is cleared by (i) detaching the opaque part under heating, or (ii) clarifying the opaque part by heating and/or light illumination. Accordingly, the opaque part required for image forming does not adversely affect the final transparent film product, such as an overhead projection film. The clearing of the opaque part may be performed, e.g., along with the fixation of the toner image onto the transparent film.

摘要： An ink jet printing apparatus is provided that can realize a stable ejection volume with the minimum change in a voltage value supplied in a scanning. To realize this, when a detected temperature of a print head is included in a first range, a pulse width control is performed while a voltage being fixed to a first voltage. When a detected temperature is included in a second range, a pulse width control is performed while a voltage being fixed to a second voltage. In the pulse width control based on the two voltages, a temperature partially overlapped region is provided between the first range and the second range. By this, even when a print head has an increased temperature during a print scanning, an ejection volume can be controlled, in the print scanning, while minimizing the switching of a driving voltage.
