    Abstract: In various examples, audio received from a source device is shared from a first wireless earbud to one or more other wireless earbuds. For example, source-device settings are shared by the first wireless earbud with the one or more other wireless earbuds to facilitate synchronization and passive receipt of data transmitted by the source device. Once the wireless earbuds are synchronized, they may check in with one another in a coordinated manner to share packets that were missed when passively listening to the source device.

    Abstract: Techniques for detecting a voice command from a user of a hearable device. The hearable device may include an in-ear facing microphone to capture sound emitted from an ear of the user, and an exterior facing microphone to capture sound emitted from an exterior environment of the user. The in-ear microphone may generate an in-ear audio signal representing the sound emitted from the ear, and the exterior microphone may generate an exterior audio signal representing sound from the exterior environment. The hearable device may include components to determine correlations or similarities between the in-ear audio signal and exterior audio signal, which indicate that the audio signals represent sound emitted from the user. Further, the components may perform voice activity detection to determine that the sound emitted from the user is a voice command, and proceed to perform further voice-processing techniques.

    Abstract: A system and method includes a first audio device (e.g., a primary wireless earbud) connected to a second audio-output device (e.g., a secondary wireless earbud) using a first wireless connection. The first audio device is also connected to a user device (e.g., a smartphone or smart watch) using a second wireless connection. The second audio device receives data, such as packets, sent from the third device to the first device by monitoring the second wireless connection. If the second audio device does not determine that the first audio device sent a corresponding acknowledgement message (i.e., the first audio device did not receive a packet), the second audio device sends the acknowledgement message and sends the packet to the first audio device.

    Abstract: A device includes a first radio controller, a second radio controller, and a processor. The processor is configured to execute instructions for determining that a first signal strength of a signal received from a remote device by a first antenna electrically connected to the first radio controller is less than a minimum signal strength threshold for communications using the first antenna, identifying a network process configured to communicate with a remote device using the first radio controller or the second radio controller, and determining that the processor is not executing the network process. The processor is further configured to execute instructions for, determining a second signal strength of a second signal received from the remote device by a second antenna, determining the second signal strength is greater than the first signal strength, and causing the first radio controller to communicate using the second antenna.

    Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for implementing and utilizing a transceiver in a communication device that has two separate radio-frequency (RF) power amplifiers that are optimized to transmit signals using separate communication standards. The power amplifiers may be designed to convert a lower-power RF signal into different higher-power signals according to different standard-mandated, output-power limits. In this way, a communication device may arbitrate between two transceiver chains that include respective power adapters in order to convert lower-power RF signals into different higher-power RF signals. The higher-power RF signals may have different output-power levels that are appropriate for the respective communication standards of the separate transceiver chains.

    Abstract: Described are techniques for distributing audio data to multiple devices for a synchronized output in a manner that reduces congestion and interference with a first frequency band of a network. A first audio device receives audio data using the first frequency band, via an access point, then transmits the data to a second audio device using a different protocol. The second audio device may then distribute the audio data to other devices using a different frequency band. The two devices selected for use distributing the audio data may be determined based on signal quality for communications between the devices, data throughput between the first audio device and the access point, counts of devices that may receive data from the second device, and signal quality and other metric data associated with communications by the second audio device.

    Abstract: Described are techniques for configuring a group of devices to perform a function by using a master device to provide data to other devices within the group. Test data may be communicated between a selected device and each device in the group to determine link quality values for each communication. A value indicative of the airtime that would be used to distribute data using the selected device may be determined. This process may be repeated for each device within the group. The selected device associated with the lowest airtime value may be designated as the master device. Data transmitted from the master device to the other devices may be used to cause the group of devices to perform a function.
