摘要: A device to carry out a bioelectrical interaction with an individual by means of electrodes 29, 29a whereby an on-demand verification of the integrity of the electrical contact of the electrodes is implemented. The device 20 comprises a control unit 22 arranged to determine an occurrence of the predefined event related to a quality of a measured signal. In case the predetermined event is detected, the control unit 22 actuates the testing means 24. The testing means is arranged to generate the test signals, I1, 12 and to apply them via a coupling circuit 23, 23a to the electrodes. In case it is desired that cumulative information about the contact integrity is obtained, is it sufficient to apply a single test signal per electrode. In case it is required to determine which of the electrodes has lost its contact, a sequence of test signals is generated by the sequencer 24b. The response signal from the electrodes 29, 29a is forwarded to the input filter 26, which is preferably also used for a normal signal analysis. The signal from the input filter 26 is directed via the input impedance 25, 25a to the input amplifier 28. The amplified response signal is forwarded to the signal processing means 30 which is arranged to analyze the response signal. Preferably, an amplitude analysis is done. The signal from the signal processing means 30 is supplied to the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) 32 after which a digital processing of the response signal is carried out by means of a further processing unit 34. In case the further processing unit 34 determines that the integrity of the contact is below the allowable level, the lead-off indicator 36 is actuated.

摘要: The invention relates to a distress signaling system, a body area network for enabling a distress signaling, a method for signaling a condition of a distress and a vehicle arranged with the distress signaling system. The distress signaling system 10 according to the invention comprises monitoring means 11 arranged in a vehicle in order to monitor a vital sign of a seated passenger by means of a sensor 12 arranged to measure a signal representative to said sign. The monitoring means 11 are preferably arranged to perform a continuous monitoring of the vital sign of the passenger and are further arranged to provide a corresponding signal to the front-end electronics 20 of the system 10. The front-end electronics 20 is arranged to analyze the signal from the monitoring means 11. For that purpose the front-end electronics 20 comprises a data processing means 21 arranged to process the measured signal in order to yield data representative to a condition of the passenger. The data processing means 21 comprises a preamplifier 22, an analogue processing circuit 22 and an ADC unit 23. The data processing means 21 forwards the corresponding data to the data analysis means 25, arranged to analyze said data in order to yield a condition-related parameter. The determined condition-related parameter is written into a first look-up table 25a. The data analysis means 25 is further arranged to compare said condition-related parameter to a preset valid parameter stored in a second look-up table 25b. In case the data analysis means detects that the condition-related parameter exceeds a preset valid parameter, it generates a trigger signal to actuate the indicating means 26. The indicating means 26 receives the trigger signal and generate a suitable feedback to the passenger, preferably by means of a suitable user-interface 27. Additionally, the indicating means 26 can be arranged to control a vehicle control system 29, in order to alter a cabin environment, or to actuate an alarming means of the vehicle, like an acoustic alarm and/or the emergency lights and/or to actuate an engine of the vehicle.

摘要: A method for checking a function of an actuator or a sensor of a system, having the following steps: controlling the actuator within a time window if at least one state variable of the system is in a predefined operating range; detecting a system response, with the aid of the sensor, within the time window as a response to controlling the actuator; determining a malfunction of the actuator or of the sensor if the system response differs from a setpoint system response that is expected due to controlling the actuator. A further actuator of the system is controlled during the time window in such a way that the at least one state variable of the system remains in the predefined operating range during the time window. Moreover, a corresponding method for calibrating a sensor or an actuator of a system is described.
