Abstract: A catheter includes a detachable tip assembly that when detached from the catheter may be used to occlude a body lumen or vessel. The detachable distal tip assembly may include an inflatable balloon disposed over and secured to a tubular member. The inflatable balloon may be in fluid communication within an inflation lumen extending within the catheter body. Upon reaching a target site within a body lumen or vessel, the detachable distal tip assembly may be released from the distal end of the catheter upon inflation of the balloon to a predetermined size.

Abstract: A medical device for drainage of fluids is disclosed. The medical device may be used for drainage of urine from the renal pelvis to the bladder. The medical device includes an elongate shaft having a proximal end, a distal end, a first lumen, and a second lumen. A first inflatable balloon is positioned proximal to the distal end of the elongate shaft and in fluid communication with the first lumen. At least one aperture is positioned adjacent to the inflatable balloon and in fluid communication with the second lumen.

Abstract: Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include a medical device for moving lymphatic fluid. The medical device may include an implantable body having an inlet end region and an outlet end region. The inlet end region may include one or more inlet opening. The outlet end region may include one or more outlet openings. A pump member may be positioned between the inlet end region and the outlet end region. The pump member may be configured to draw lymphatic fluid into the implantable body through the inlet end region and transfer lymphatic fluid out from the implantable body through the outlet end region.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to apparatus, devices, and methods for increasing force distribution at a suture-tissue interface. In some embodiments, a tissue suturing device may include a deployment device and a plurality of tissue supports deployable from the deployment device towards a target tissue. The plurality of tissue supports may each include a central opening for receiving a suture during deployment.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for delivering and deploying an implantable medical device with respect to a target site along a tissue wall by applying suction to draw the tissue wall to a delivery and deployment device, such as to a tissue-penetrating end of the delivery and deployment device. An additional implantable device may be deployed distal to the tissue wall, such as to facilitate manipulation of the distal wall. At least a portion of the first implantable medical device may be deployed with respect to the additional implantable medical device, such as within a lumen of the additional implantable medical device. The implantable medical device may shift from a delivery configuration to an expanded deployed configuration, and at least a portion of the implantable medical device may expand beyond the deployed configuration after deployment device to further resist migration of the implantable medical device from the target site.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of body lumen drainage. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to implantable medical devices for facilitating the flow of fluids and materials between adjacent body lumens. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a drainage stent which maintains an open flow passage between fused tissue layers.

Abstract: According to one aspect, a medical device may include a shaft including a distal tip with a distal-facing surface. The shaft also may include a fluid lumen extending to the distal tip and a nozzle at a distal end of the fluid lumen. The nozzle may be configured to emit a fluid jet from the distal tip. The shaft also may include a vacuum lumen extending to the distal tip and a vacuum chamber at the distal tip. The vacuum lumen may open into the vacuum chamber, and the vacuum chamber may be wider than the vacuum lumen. The shaft may further include a vacuum opening, and the vacuum chamber may open into the vacuum opening. The vacuum opening may be defined by the distal-facing surface of the distal tip.
