Abstract: A medical device may include a shaft extending from a proximal end toward a distal end, the shaft including a lumen extending from the proximal end toward the distal end; a first stapling head at the distal end, the first stapling head configured to contain one or more staples, and the first stapling head having a block disposed within, and movable relative to, the first stapling head; a second stapling head at the distal end; and a pushing element extending through the lumen, the pushing element being movable from a first position to a second position, wherein transition of the pushing element from the first position to the second position urges the block to move toward second stapling head to deploy the one or more staples.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container adapters that couple with a fluid container, so to enable access to the contents of the fluid container, such as from an endoscopic system via a tubing set. Several embodiments are particularly directed to a fluid container adapter that can couple with an opening in a variety of fluid containers to place one or more tubes in fluid communication with an interior of any particular one of the variety of fluid containers.

Abstract: Methods and systems for redirecting a flow of air/gas to flush fluid channels. An illustrative container and tube set for redirecting a flow of air may include a container, a water supply tube including a first lumen extending therethrough, a gas supply tube including a second lumen extending therethrough, a manifold including a first inlet for receiving air, a second inlet for receiving fluid from the container, a first air outlet, and a second fluid outlet, and a valve positioned within the manifold. When the valve is in a first configuration, the first inlet is in fluid communication with the first air outlet, and the second inlet is in fluid communication the second fluid outlet and when the valve is in a second configuration, the first inlet is in fluid communication with the second fluid outlet.

Abstract: A catheter includes a detachable tip assembly that when detached from the catheter may be used to occlude a body lumen or vessel. The detachable distal tip assembly may include an inflatable balloon disposed over and secured to a tubular member. The inflatable balloon may be in fluid communication within an inflation lumen extending within the catheter body. Upon reaching a target site within a body lumen or vessel, the detachable distal tip assembly may be released from the distal end of the catheter upon inflation of the balloon to a predetermined size.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for cutting mucosal tissue. In particular, the present disclosure provides an endoscopic hood with an integrated wire for single-step tissue cutting. The endoscopic hood is particularly useful for performing repeated cutting, for example EMR resections, without the need for assistance by a nurse or medical technician.
