    Abstract: A medical device includes a shaft including a longitudinal axis, an end effector connected to a distal end of the shaft to move from a first orientation, where a longitudinal axis of the end effector is approximately parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shaft, to a second orientation, where an angle is formed between the longitudinal axis of the end effector and the longitudinal axis of the shaft, and an elongated member attached to a proximal end of the end effector, wherein manipulation of the elongated member moves the end effector between the first orientation and the second orientation.

    Abstract: According to one aspect, a tissue fastening device may comprise a body configured to include a plurality of fasteners; an anvil rotatable relative to the body; and a tissue cutting device. The body may define a longitudinal channel configured to receive the tissue cutting device. The tissue fastening device may further comprise a fastener actuator configured to move proximally relative to the body to deploy the plurality of fasteners from the body; and an actuation wire coupled to the tissue cutting device and the fastener actuator. The actuation of the actuation wire may cause the fastener actuator to deploy at least one of the plurality of fasteners into tissue distally of tissue cut by the tissue cutting device.

    Abstract: A system for treating tissue includes a clip assembly having a pair of clip arms. Proximal ends of the clip arms engage a distal portion of a central member slidably received within a channel of a capsule to be moved between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The central member includes the distal portion and a proximal portion connected to one another via a releasable connection which releases when subject to a force exceeding a predetermined threshold level. The system also includes an applicator releasably coupled to the clip assembly. The applicator includes an outer sleeve through which a control member extends. A distal end of the control member engages a cavity of the proximal portion to move the central member relative to the capsule. A lumen of the outer sleeve is sized and shaped to slidably receive the capsule therein.
