    Abstract: An apparatus for forming a three-dimensional image includes: a print function unit that forms a first print image on one surface and a second print image on a region of another surface of a thermally expandable sheet with a photothermal conversion material; and an image processing unit that sets a density of the photothermal conversion material in the second print image based on a density of the photothermal conversion material in the first print image. The second print image is a mirror image of the first print image, and the region of the other surface corresponds to the first print image of the one surface. A three-dimensional image of the first print image is formed by selectively expanding a thermally expandable layer with thermal energy according to the density of the photothermal conversion material in the second print image when the sheet is irradiated with light from the other surface.

    Abstract: There is provided a computer readable storage medium storing a program executable by a computer, and the program causes the computer to execute functions including: forming a first image in accordance with an electronic circuit diagram, in which a resistance value of a wiring portion is defined, to form the wiring portion by printing with a conductive ink; and correcting the first image in accordance with a second image, which is formed with a photothermal conversion material, when the first image is formed at least partially overlapping the second image, wherein the second image is an image for expanding a thermally expandable layer that thermally expands with heat and, when the image is irradiated with light, expanding the thermally expandable layer by converting the light into heat with the photothermal conversion material.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes: a display unit; and a control unit, wherein the control unit is configured to: set an irradiation condition of a laser beam for a thermally expandable sheet, a surface of the thermally expandable sheet being heated and expanded by being irradiated with the laser beam; display, on the display unit, a preview of an irradiation region of the thermally expandable sheet to be irradiated with the laser beam so as to be distinguishable in a display mode according to the set irradiation condition; allow the irradiation condition for expanding the thermally expandable sheet to a predetermined height to be selectable from among a plurality of mutually different irradiation conditions; and display, on the display unit, a preview of the plurality of irradiation conditions in mutually different display modes.

    Abstract: There are provided a method and apparatus for forming a three-dimensional image. The method and apparatus adjust the density in consideration of the influence of the expansion of a thermally expandable layer on the density of a display color or a color development state so that the originally planned density of the display color can be achieved, on the surface of a thermally expandable sheet. The method and apparatus form a mirror image of a colored image, of which the density of a black component is adjusted so as to correspond to the bulge height of the thermally expandable layer, on the back of the thermally expandable sheet. The method and apparatus expand the thermally expandable layer when irradiating the thermally expandable layer with light, which includes infrared wavelengths, from the back of the thermally expandable sheet.

    Abstract: A printing surface processing method includes first forming, second forming and applying. In the first forming, a substantially flat first image expressed with unevenness sense based on a touch and/or a stroke of a brush is formed on a first face of a thermal expansion sheet. In the second forming, a second image constituted of a grayscale image is formed on a second face of the sheet. The grayscale image includes a dark portion and a light portion with densities set to form a substantially uneven shape on the first face. The uneven shape corresponds to the unevenness sense of the first image and unevenness sense of fabric where the first image is supposed to be formed. In the applying, thermal energy is applied to the second image to expand the sheet to form the uneven shape on the first face.
