Abstract: A pump for pumping a liquid has a pump housing with at least one inlet and at least one outlet. The pump housing has an eccentric rotatable relative to the pump housing by an axle. A deformable element is arranged between the pump housing and the eccentric, and by the deformable element, at least one pump path from the at least one inlet to the at least one outlet is delimited and at least one movable pump path seal is formed, which separates at least one closed pump volume in the pump path. The at least one movable seal is movable in a pump direction from the inlet to the outlet by a movement of the eccentric to pump the fluid along the pump path. The pump has at least one adjustable axial calibrating device, by which the deformable element is clamped in the axial direction parallel to the axle.

Abstract: A method for operating a device for providing a liquid additive includes feeding the liquid additive along a feeding path. The feeding path has at least one first portion in which a peristaltic pump is disposed. The pump, in particular, has a reversible feeding direction and can be damaged by deposits discharged from the liquid additive. The feeding path also has at least one second portion in which a component susceptible to freezing is disposed. At first liquid additive is fed along the feeding path of the device. Subsequently, the feeding of the liquid additive is stopped. The feeding path is then partially emptied in such a way that liquid additive remains in the at least one first portion of the feeding path while the at least one second portion is emptied. A device for providing a liquid additive is also provided.

Abstract: A method for operating a device that conveys a fluid includes: A) detecting activation of the device; B) filling a conveying line with the fluid by operating at least one pump in a conveying direction from at least one tank to at least one injector, and detecting complete filling of the conveying line based on at least one sudden pressure increase at at least one pressure sensor; C) operating the pump and making available fluid at the injector; D) detecting deactivation of the device; and E) partially emptying the conveying line by sucking back the fluid by operation of the at least one pump in a direction counter to the conveying direction. The emptying is stopped if pressure measured at the at least one pressure sensor corresponds to an ambient pressure.

Abstract: A method for operating a device for dosed supply of a liquid, having a pump to deliver the liquid. The pump has an inlet and an outlet. An eccentric is arranged on the pump housing and a deformable diaphragm is arranged between a pump housing and the eccentric. The deformable diaphragm and the pump housing delimit a delivery path from the inlet to the outlet. The seal can be displaced along the delivery path by movement of the eccentric. A pressure sensor is connected to the outlet of the pump. A liquid is delivered by the pump. A time curve of the pressure at the outlet of the pump is monitored during delivery by the at least one pressure sensor. An angle position of the eccentric of the pump is detected using at least one characteristic feature of the time curve at the outlet.

Abstract: A pump for conveying a fluid includes a pump housing, an eccentric, a deformable element arranged in a pump gap between the inner circumferential surface of the pump housing, and an outer surface of the eccentric, such that a conveying channel is formed from an inlet to an outlet. A stationary seal is provided between the outlet and the inlet and prevents a backflow of the fluid from the outlet back to the inlet. The inner circumferential surface of the pump housing has a recess in the region of the stationary seal, and the deformable element is tensioned fluid-tight at the inner circumference surface in the region of the recess using a pin.

Abstract: A pump for conveying liquid includes a pump housing having an inlet, an outlet, an inner circumferential surface and a geometric axis. An eccentric in the housing is rotatable about the geometric axis relative to the housing. A deformable element is disposed between the inner circumferential housing surface and the eccentric. A delivery duct from the inlet to the outlet is formed by the deformable element and the inner circumferential housing surface. The deformable element is pressed against the housing by the eccentric in sections so that a displaceable seal of the duct and a closed pump volume in the duct are formed and are displaceable to convey the liquid along the duct from the inlet to the outlet by rotation of the eccentric. A receptacle, accommodating an edge region of the deformable element, is formed by the inner circumferential housing surface and a counter bracket.

Abstract: A method for operating a device configured to provide a dosed supply of a liquid. The device has: a pump delivering the liquid and having a pump housing having an inlet and an outlet, an eccentric on the pump housing, and a deformable diaphragm arranged between the pump housing and the eccentric. The deformable diaphragm and the pump housing delimit a delivery path from the inlet to the outlet and form at least one seal of the delivery path, the seal being displaceable along the delivery path by a movement of the eccentric to deliver the liquid. The method comprises: detecting a demanded dose amount of the liquid; activating the pump to deliver the liquid by the pump; stopping operation of the pump when the delivered amount of the liquid corresponds to the demanded dose amount; deactivating the pump when the eccentric is situated in a predefined park position.

The pump is configured such that within the pump a friction torque that must be overcome for the eccentric to move is greater than a maximum pressure torque that can be generated by pressurized liquid in the delivery path, so as to prevent movement of the eccentric counter to the delivery direction.
