    Abstract: Pump for conveying liquid, having at least one pump housing with at least one inlet and at least one outlet, and including an inner circumferential surface and a geometric axis, where an eccentric is arranged within the pump housing and is moveable eccentrically relative to the pump housing around the geometric axis. A deformable element is arranged in a pump gap between the inner circumferential surface of the pump housing and an outer surface of the eccentric. The deformable element is pressed against the pump housing by the outer surface of the eccentric along at least one section of a conveying channel such that at least one displaceable seal of the conveying channel and at least one closed pump volume are formed in the conveying channel which are displaceable by an eccentric movement of the eccentric for conveying the fluid along the conveying channel from the inlet to the outlet.

    Abstract: A method for operating a device configured to provide a dosed supply of a liquid. The device has: a pump delivering the liquid and having a pump housing having an inlet and an outlet, an eccentric on the pump housing, and a deformable diaphragm arranged between the pump housing and the eccentric. The deformable diaphragm and the pump housing delimit a delivery path from the inlet to the outlet and form at least one seal of the delivery path, the seal being displaceable along the delivery path by a movement of the eccentric to deliver the liquid. The method comprises: detecting a demanded dose amount of the liquid; activating the pump to deliver the liquid by the pump; stopping operation of the pump when the delivered amount of the liquid corresponds to the demanded dose amount; deactivating the pump when the eccentric is situated in a predefined park position.

    Abstract: A metering pump or segment, and a metering pump assembly comprising a plurality of the metering pumps or segments, are disclosed. The drive shaft assembly for driving the pump gears of each metering pump or segment is coaxially aligned with the longitudinal axis of the pump or segment, as is the fluid inlet. The single drive shaft assembly is utilized to drive all of the metering pumps or segments comprising the metering pump assembly, and the different metering pumps or segments are fluidically connected together by means of a common fluid passageway. In addition, the different metering pumps or segments can be interchanged or exchanged so as to permit different metered fluid output volumes to be outputted at different predetermined locations, and the dispensing volumes can also be added together.

    Abstract: The subject invention described herein is directed to an improved fluid powered system for dispensing a selectively variable proportion of additives into a primary fluid supply line such as is commonly encountered in the firefight industry where it is desirable to proportion foam concentrates into a water line. The subject invention features a water driven motor that is integral to a variable displacement additive pump. A proportioning adjustment allows the solution % to be adjusted. Once set, the additive percent varies in direct proportion to the water flow rate in order to maintain a nearly constant solution percentage over a broad flow range.

    Abstract: A metering system for metering a liquid has an electric motor (32) for setting a desired feed rate by modifying the rotation speed of the electric motor. It furthermore has an eccentric drive (52, 56), drivable by said electric motor (32), for a pump (53) that has two delivery directions. It also has a pump ring (62) made of an elastomeric material and a stationary ring (70) which is arranged relative to the pump ring (62) and to the eccentric drive (52, 56) in such a way that a pump chamber (120), extending in a circumferential direction, is formed between the stationary ring (70) and pump ring (62), which chamber changes shape upon rotation of the electric motor (32) in order to deliver a liquid to be metered through the pump chamber (120). A stationary seal (142) is provided in the pump chamber (120), between two fluid ports.

    Abstract: A blending pump assembly for accurately maintaining the proper ratio of two fluid components. Flow of a first fluid is utilized to drive a fluid motor, which in turn drives a pumping mechanism to inject a proportional amount of a second fluid into the flow of the first fluid. The fluid motor and pump are sized so that a predetermined ratio between the two fluids is maintained regardless of changes in pressure and flow rate of such first fluid.
