    Abstract: A system configured to couple a hydraulic hammer and tool is disclosed. A hydraulic hammer may include a housing defining a chamber, elongate along a longitudinal axis, configured to receive a tool. The chamber may comprise an opening through which the tool may be inserted. A plurality of upper splines and a plurality of lower splines may be disposed, parallel to the longitudinal axis, on an inner surface of the chamber. A locking mechanism, comprising a rotatable locking ring, may be disposed within the chamber between the plurality of upper splines and the plurality of lower splines. The locking ring may comprise a plurality of locking ring splines disposed on an inner surface of the locking ring, wherein the plurality of locking ring splines are configured to align with the plurality of upper splines and the plurality of lower splines when the locking ring is rotated to an unlocked state.

    Abstract: A system configured to couple a hydraulic hammer and tool is disclosed. In one aspect, a tool may be configured to couple with a hydraulic hammer. The tool may include an upper portion comprising a shaft having a plurality of upper grooves, a plurality of lower grooves, and a circumferential indentation disposed between the plurality of upper grooves and the plurality of lower grooves. The plurality of upper grooves and the plurality of lower grooves may be longitudinally oriented parallel to an axis of elongation of the shaft and be aligned to one another. The indentation may be configured to accommodate a rotational movement of a locking ring that is configured to couple the tool with the hydraulic hammer. The tool may further include a lower portion connected to the upper portion and comprising a tool tip.

    Abstract: A hammer assembly including a hammer housing and a work tool movably supported in the hammer housing is provided. A gas chamber is defined in the hammer housing and contains a compressible gas. An accumulator assembly includes an interior space. A barrier divides the interior space into a first interior portion containing a compressible gas and a second interior portion configured to receive a pressurized fluid. The barrier is configured to be movable in response to changing the amount of pressurized fluid in the second interior portion and such that movement of the barrier varies the volume of the first interior portion. The first interior portion is in communication with the gas chamber. A control valve assembly is configured for selectively placing the second interior portion of the accumulator assembly in communication with a pressurized fluid source.

    Abstract: Lubrication system includes a drive fluid valve member and a detune valve member. The drive fluid valve member is movable from a first to a second position in response to drive fluid pressure to reduce the volume of a variable volume lubricant charge chamber. The detune valve member is movable from a first to a second position in response to lubricant pressure within the lubricant charge chamber, and is adapted to permit fluid communication between inlet and bypass fluid passages in its the first position and to disengage the fluid connection in its second position.
