    摘要: A processor-controlled, energy-based therapy apparatus includes a device configured to provide therapeutic energy to a patient and a processor that controls the output of the device. The output of the device is based on output profiles programmed into the processor. The output profiles include a therapeutic energy output profile and a ramp-up energy profile. The therapeutic energy output profile includes a desired target energy level and a therapeutic duration for controlling the output of the device during a therapeutic period. The ramp-up energy output profile includes an initial treatment energy level and a ramp-up duration for controlling the output of the device during a ramp-up period. The energy output specified by the ramp-up energy output profile incrementally increases over the ramp-up duration as a function of the desired target energy level and the ramp-up duration.

The striking mechanism includes a housing and a piston arranged for reciprocating motion in the housing. The striking piston has front and rear piston portions. The piston and the housing form front and rear spaces. A compressed air conduit is arranged in airflow communication with the front space via a second passage in the housing, at which second passage a first valve is arranged. There is an intermediate space between the front and rear piston portions and the housing. The control unit is alternately subjected to air pressure of the rear space with respect to the intermediate space during reciprocating motion of the piston. The control unit controls the first valve based on air pressure to alternately supply compressed air to the front space and achieving a return movement of the piston.

    摘要: A pressure protection valve is provided which provides a fluid short circuit between a fluid pressure inlet of a hydraulic tool such as a hydraulic hammer and a low pressure region when the pressure at the fluid pressure inlet exceeds a first trigger pressure equal to a predetermined permissible pressure. This prevents damage to the hydraulic tool which can arise through operation at excessive fluid flow or pressure from hydraulic fluid supplied by a carrier vehicle. The pressure protection valve may maintain fluid communication between the fluid pressure inlet and the low pressure region until the pressure at the fluid pressure inlet reduces to a pressure below a predetermined second trigger pressure which is less than the first trigger pressure, to prevent further operation of the tool until the flow of fluid to the fluid pressure inlet has been stopped by an operator.

    摘要: An improved impact power tool for carving and engraving an article comprises an air delivery system operable to communicate with a pressurized air source; a drive assembly operable to receive air from the pressurized air source via the air delivery system; a hand held device in driven communication with the drive assembly; and a housing for storage of the air delivery system and drive assembly. The tool includes an improved valve design, a throttle bias valve, and an air storage tank housed within the housing, and an improved housing construction. The improved valve design and air storage tank enable greater stroke speeds of a work tool over a wider power range while also improving the crispness and speed of the impact reaction time over the entire range. The throttle bias valve is in communication with an additional exhaust path, such that the bias valve allows improved control of the hand held device and improved operation over a wider range of air pressures.

    摘要: A ball valve assembly for use as a control valve for controlling the flow of gas through a continuous stroke pneumatic tool. The valving element is generally spherical and non-magnetizable. The generally spherical valving element is loosely confined between two concave generally conical surfaces, which are provided on valve seat members. The concave generally conical surfaces are opposed to one another to define a valve chamber therebetween. Sufficient clearance is provided so the generally spherical valving element is free to roll and tumble as it moves in the valve chamber between the concave generally conical surfaces. This allows the ball valve assembly to be self purging of excess lubricant, dust, and the like. Wear is distributed over the entire generally spherical surface of the valving element. The loose confinement is also sufficient to provide a relatively large cross-section of gas passageway through the control valve assembly. The two valve seat members are suitably ported to permit the ball valve assembly to be used as a drop-in replacement for prior pneumatic tool control valves.

    摘要: A paving breaker for the construction industry of the type having a vibrating moil point or tool steel impacted by a pneumatically reciprocated piston including a double walled cylinder slidably receiving the piston designed so that the space between the inner and outer walls of the cylinder forms a passageway for delivery of piston return air to the lower cylinder chamber and the space also forms an accumulator for air compressed by the piston during the lower part of its power stroke. In one embodiment an outer cylinder sleeve is mounted on an elastomeric member surrounding an inner cylinder sleeve, and is free to reciprocate a limited distance in the housing to partly balance the reaction forces of the piston. This double walled cylinder is surrounded by rectangular polyurethane covers that form an air exhaust space around the cylinder so that exhaust air assists in cooling the cylinder. Air is ported to the opposite ends of the cylinder by a self guiding valve member that has easily machined expansion grooves on opposite sides of a metering land and an annular guide stem that is slidably mounted in a bore in a lower valve block member mounted at the top or backhead of the paving breaker adjacent the cylinder, and this valve guide stem forms a conduit for air to the rear side of the piston.
