    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may operate in dual connectivity with a master node (MN) that has a capability to operate in a particular frequency band range (e. g., a range above 6 gigahertz (GHz)) and a secondary node (SN). The MN or SN may transmit an indication to an SN or MN, respectively, that includes sets of frequency bands in which the UE may measure, including frequency bands within the particular frequency band range. The SN or MN that received the indication may update a gap pattern for at least one of the frequency bands within the particular frequency band range and transmit an updated gap configuration to the MN or SN that transmitted the indication. Additionally, the MN or SN may choose fixed gap pattern configuration roles or may both dynamically identify gap patterns.

    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) measure and report cell measurements for neighboring cells to assist the wireless network with handover decisions. In some cases, the UE may be configured to report beam-level measurements for just a subset of neighboring cells instead of each neighboring cell. For example, the UE may measure, or report beam measurements for a subset of the neighboring cells which meet configured criteria or are included in a subset of cells configured by the serving cell. Techniques for configuring and maintaining the subset of cells are described herein. For example, the cells in the subset may be configured by the UE or the serving cell of UE. A cell may also be removed from the subset if the cell does not continue to meet criteria for being included in the subset.

A user equipment (HE) may support beam management to determine beams for communicating with a base station, measure characteristics of the beams, and periodically report the measurements to the base station. The beam management may include a beam failure recover), procedure, where the UE detects and resolves a beam failure with the base station. Additionally, the UE may perform radio link monitoring (RLM) on a set of reference signals configured by the base station to determine if a radio link (e.g, beamformed transmission) is synchronized or not between the UE and base station. In some cases, these RLM reference signals (RLM-RSs) may be reconfigured, where the reconfiguration may be based on the periodic beam measurement reports for beam management, a beam monitoring event trigger, a beam failure recovery, or a combination thereof.
