    摘要: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided that establishes a virtual active set including a first closed subscriber group (CSG) cell. At least one measured result of each of the first CSG cell and a second CSG cell is measured and the virtual active set is updated by replacing the first CSG cell with the second CSG cell in response to at least one measured result of the second CSG cell having a predefined relationship to the at least one measured result of the first CSG cell for a time to trigger. In regards to updating the virtual active set, the first CSG cell may be replaced with the second CSG cell in response to the at least one measured result of the second CSG cell having a predefined relationship to the at least one measured result of the first CSG cell by at least a predetermined amount for the time to trigger.

    摘要: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to facilitate security in response to a handover from an initial network to a subsequent network, such as a handover between a packet-switched network and a circuit-switched network. The method, apparatus and computer program product may provide at least one security key for use in the subsequent network following handover from the initial network such that communications conducted via the subsequent network, including initial communications, may be secure. In order to provide at least one security key for use in the subsequent network, at least one security key of the initial network may be identified along with a nonce in response to a determination that a handover is to be made. The at least one security key of the subsequent network may then be determined based upon the at least one security key of the initial network and the nonce.

    摘要: A wireless device is wirelessly connected to a wireless network which is controlled by network control apparatus. The wireless device operates in a first activity state in which data can be transmitted to and received from the wireless network over one or more dedicated logical channels. The wireless device transitions to operate in a second activity state having lower power consumption than the first activity state if it is determined by the wireless device that data has not been transmitted by and has not been received at the wireless device for a predetermined period of time. The predetermined period of time is known to both the wireless device and the network control apparatus. The transition takes place synchronously without requiring control signals to be passed between the wireless device and the network control apparatus.
