摘要: The disclosure is related to a system and method for learning robust clothing clustering based on a cluster ensemble technique applied to the clothing features of images to improve clustering of images. Different types of clothing features that are complementary to each other are computed to provide extensive description of the clothing in the images. Multiple partitions are computed based on the clothing features to generate a cluster ensemble set. A consensus function is applied to the multiple partitions to generate a final clothing consensus clustering that encompasses the information contained in the multiple partitions. A system and method are disclosed for clustering images based on the clothing of one or more persons in the images.

摘要: An illumination system includes a light source and a reflector. The reflector includes a first optical interface adjacent the light source which redirects light emitted from the light source and incident on the first optical interface via Fresnel reflection. In addition, the reflector includes a second optical interface adjacent the first optical interface on a side opposite the light source, which reflects light passing through the first optical interface via total internal reflection back towards the first optical interface. Also, a light collection system includes such a reflector.

摘要: Non-volatile storage elements having a reversible resistivity-switching element and techniques for fabricating the same are disclosed herein. The reversible resistivity-switching element may be formed by depositing an oxygen diffusion resistant material (e.g., heavily doped Si, W, WN) over the top electrode. A trap passivation material (e.g., fluorine, nitrogen, hydrogen, deuterium) may be incorporated into one or more of the bottom electrode, a metal oxide region, or the top electrode of the reversible resistivity-switching element. One embodiment includes a reversible resistivity-switching element having a bi-layer capping layer between the metal oxide and the top electrode. Fabricating the device may include depositing (un-reacted) titanium and depositing titanium oxide in situ without air brake. One embodiment includes incorporating titanium into the metal oxide of the reversible resistivity-switching element. The titanium might be implanted into the metal oxide while depositing the metal oxide, or after deposition of the metal oxide. Sub-plantation may be used to create a titanium region between two metal oxide regions.

摘要: A method and system for automatically producing a page using frames of a video stream. A plurality of video frames from a video stream or clip are read, and multiple frames are extracted from the video stream, based on the content of each frame. Frames which neighbor the extracted frames in the video stream are also extracted, with the number of neighboring frames to be extracted being controlled by parameters provided to the page production system. The resolution of the images in the extracted video frames is enhanced, based on the information in each extracted frame and each respective extracted neighboring frame. The enhanced images are automatically cropped to enhance the important features in each image, and the cropped images are composed into one or more pages that are representative of the content of the video stream.

摘要: A hybrid resistor/FET-logic demultiplexer (demux) is provided. According to an embodiment, hybrid nanoelectronics, which incorporate nanodevice crossbars on CMOS backplane circuits, can be implemented using the subject demux as the interface between the nanowires in the nanodevice crossbars and the microwires fabricated in the CMOS domain. Embodiments of the present invention incorporate resistor-logic and FET-logic to realize the demultiplexing function. In various embodiments, a single column of p-type FETs is used to convert the linear voltage output of a resistor-logic demux core into a nonlinear output so that the desired demultiplexing function can be much better approximated. The resistor-logic demux core design can still be optimized using constant weight codes, whereas the optimization constraint on the constant weight code construction is largely relaxed, which can result in a more area efficient demux.

摘要: Various method and system embodiments of the present invention are directed to computational estimation of a tempo for a digitally encoded musical selection. In certain embodiments of the present invention, described below, a short portion of a musical selection is analyzed to determine the tempo of the musical selection. The digitally encoded musical selection sample is computationally transformed to produce a power spectrum corresponding to the sample, in turn transformed to produce a two-dimensional strength-of-onset matrix. The two-dimensional strength-of-onset matrix is then transformed into a set of strength-of-onset/time functions for each of a corresponding set of frequency bands. The strength-of-onset/time functions are then analyzed to find a most reliable onset interval that is transformed into an estimated tempo returned by the analysis.

摘要: Respective pitch values are estimated for an audio signal. Candidate harmonic segments of the audio signal are identified from the estimated pitch values. Respective levels of harmonic content in the candidate harmonic segments are determined. An associated classification record is generated for each of the candidate harmonic segments based on a harmonic content predicate defining at least one condition on the harmonic content levels. An associated classification record also may be generated for each of the audio signal segments classified into a harmonic segment class based on a classification predicate defining at least one condition on the estimated pitch values. The classification records that are associated with ones of the harmonic segments satisfying the classification predicate include an assignment to a speech segment class. The classification records that are associated with ones of the harmonic segments failing to satisfy the classification predicate include an assignment to a music segment class.
