摘要： An electrical connector assembly, for electrically interconnecting an IC package with a printed circuit board, includes a printed circuit board, an electrical connector mounted on the printed circuit board, an IC package mounted in the electrical connector, a heat sink seated on the electrical connector, a backboard located under the printed circuit board and a plurality of first and second elements. The electrical includes an insulative base and a load plate mounted on the insulative base, and the load plate defines a plurality of first holes. The heat sink defines a plurality of second holes, while the printed circuit board defines a plurality of third holes, and the backboard defines a plurality of fourth holes. The first elements are inserted through the first, the third and the fourth holes to fasten the IC package, the electrical connector, the printed circuit board and the backboard together. The second elements fasten the heat sink with the electrical together through the second holes by engaging with the first elements. Accordingly, a reason can be found out easily when the IC package can't work normally.

摘要： An electrical connector includes an upper housing formed with a plurality of upper through holes therein, and a lower housing located under the upper housing and formed with a plurality of lower through holes therein corresponding to the upper through holes, respectively. A plurality of contacts are received within the upper housing and the lower housing, and respectively has an upper contacting portion and a lower contacting portion. At least some of the contacts extend with angles of inclination varying in sequence so that a distance defined by two neighboring lower contacting portions is larger than that defined by corresponding two neighboring upper contacting portions.

摘要： A socket connector configured with an insulative housing defining a mating interface surrounded with peripheral walls and a mounting surface is disclosed. A plurality of passageways is defined between the mating interface and the mounting surface and having an opening at the mounting surface. The insulative housing includes an encampment associated with each of the passageway at the mounting surface, and includes an extension crossing over an inner wall of the passageway to substantially narrow the opening of the opening. The socket connector furthers includes a plurality of contact terminals each received in the passageway and further includes a curvilinear solder portion extending beyond the mounting surface. And the socket connector further is incorporated with a plurality of solder balls each disposed between the encampment and the curvilinear solder portion.
