    Abstract: An in-vehicle radar device includes a transmission section, a reception section, an analysis section, an extraction section, a speed calculation section, a distance calculation section, and a folding detection section. The folding detection section detects occurrence of erroneous calculation of a distance, when reflection intensity at a frequency peak obtained by the extraction section is smaller than a preset intensity threshold for a distance calculated by the distance calculation section and a frequency width in a frequency spectrum calculated by the analysis section is smaller than a preset width threshold.

    Abstract: An object-detecting device includes a first detector, an object tracker, a second detector, and an axial misalignment determiner. The first detector detects a distance between a moving body and an object and an orientation of the object relative to the moving body based on detection information acquired from detection sensors including a search wave sensor that searches a detection region with a search wave. The object tracker tracks the same object passing through a different detection region based on the detection information. The second detector detects at least either one of a height of the object or a lateral distance of the object as object information based on the detection information. The axial misalignment determiner determines whether axial misalignment has occurred in the search wave sensor based on the distance and the orientation of the object detected by the first detector based on the detection information from the search wave sensor and the object information detected in a different detection region by the second detector.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to automatically determining the size of a trailer being towed by a vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes, responsive to determining that a trailer is aligned with a towing vehicle, analyzing radar returns from a radar of the towing vehicle to identify radar features within an area behind the towing vehicle. The method includes determining a trailer size of the trailer from the radar features. The method includes adjusting operation of the towing vehicle according to the trailer size.

    Abstract: A driving support apparatus supports driving of the vehicle. The driving support apparatus includes a brake pedal detection unit, a retraction speed calculation unit and a driving operation device setting unit. The brake pedal detection unit detects an operation amount of the brake pedal. The retraction speed calculation unit calculates a retraction speed of the brake pedal, based on the operation amount of the brake pedal detected by the brake pedal detection unit.     Abstract: An estimation apparatus of the present disclosure includes a same-object point information acquiring section, a candidate estimating section, and a direction estimating section. The candidate estimating section estimates, as a candidate direction, a direction that is matched with an arbitrary horizontal direction upon determining that the relative speeds gradually decrease along the arbitrary horizontal direction.     Abstract: A radar apparatus generates a strength distribution indicating a correspondence relationship between a relative speed parameter related to an observation point relative speed and a reflection strength parameter related to reflection strength of radar waves reflected at an observation point, for a plurality of observation points.     Abstract: A radar device includes a transmitting unit, a receiving unit, and a signal processor. The transmitting unit transmits a radar wave. The receiving unit mixes the received incoming wave with the radar wave to generate a beat signal. The signal processor executes a target detection process to detect a target having reflected the radar wave. In the target detection process, a signal value is extracted from the beat signal generated by the receiving unit for each of specified times, the specified time being a reciprocal of a DC component frequency, an approximation curve of a plurality of the signal values is calculated as a DC component signal, and the calculated DC component signal is subtracted from the beat signal to generate a target signal. Based on a result of frequency analysis performed on the target signal, a target that is a source of the incoming wave is detected.
