    摘要: Devices, methods and systems for wave and water level measurement using a single DC (direct current)-coupled CW (continuous wave) Doppler radar for detecting water elevation changes in time when installed up to several meters from the water surface. The radar is wireless and can stream continuous data to a local PC (personal computer) or base station in range of its radio. The radar can sample up to 40 Hz and can run on batteries for continuous sampling. The radars can include multiple radar configurations of 1, 2 and 4 radar configurations. Applications for this radar can include the measurement of beach run-up, free surface elevation in tidal zones, and storm surge elevations near bridges and critical infrastructure during storm events.

    摘要: Embodiments of a target-tracking radar and methods for responding to fluctuations in target SNR are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the target-tracking radar may be configured to determine whether a target can be considered a point target based on the SNR of received signals and off-boresight error estimates. Measurement-variance estimates generated from the SNR are provided to a target-state estimator when the target is determined to be a point target. When the target is determined not to be a point target, the measurement-variance estimates generated from SNR are not used by the target-state estimator. This may allow targets to be engaged at increased range.

The tracking target method includes transmitting a frequency modulation continuous wave and receiving the reflective wave; getting a reflective wave corresponding to the target by detecting the reflective wave; getting a range gate error by seeking the plurality of the range gates corresponding to the reflective wave; and getting a position and a speed of the target at next time by knowing the position of the target at present time basis of the range gate error. Hence, the relative distance between the radar and the target is got.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method of determining expectancy ranges to which echoes from a filling level envelope curve are assigned, which curve has been generated by a filling level measurement device. The determination of these expectancy ranges takes place in consideration of the temporal behavior of past echo data. Since these expectancy ranges exhibit a predeterminable range width, a statement can be made with a predeterminable probability whether an echo—be it at filling level echo or a false echo—assigned to such a range, has been assigned erroneously to this range. When, for example, an expectancy range for a filling level echo has been prognosticated, then it may be assumed with a predeterminable probability that an echo falling within this expectancy range, actually is a filling level echo. The invention moreover relates to an evaluation means configured for carrying out this method and a level gauge. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a computer program and a computer program product including instructions for carrying out the method according to the invention.

    摘要: A radar system having a transmitter for transmitting a series of radio frequency (RF) pulses with sequential, incrementally changing carrier frequencies. A receiver receives energy from multiple scattering points of an object reflecting such transmitted RF pulses. The received energy from each one of such scattering points includes a series of radio frequency (RF) pulses corresponding to the transmitted pulses delayed in time, .tau., from the transmitted pulses an amount proportional to the range to such scattering point and shifted in frequency from the carrier frequency an amount proportional to the velocity of such scattering point. The receiver includes a heterodyning section, responsive to a range tracking error signal, .epsilon..sub.R, and a velocity tracking error signal, .DELTA..sub.VEL, for producing a series of pulsed signals for each one of the scattering points. Each one of the pulsed signals for any given scatterer sequentially changes in phase, .phi., at a rate, .DELTA..phi./.DELTA.T, related to the range to the scattering point producing such one of the pulsed signal series. A processor, responsive to each of the series of pulsed signals produced by the heterodyning section, unambiguously determines from the frequency spectrum thereof the range tracking error signal, .epsilon..sub.R, and velocity tracking error signal, .DELTA..sub.VEL, for each of the scattering points as well as the range centroid.
