    摘要: A stent for disposition in a body passageway or duct to maintain the duct walls apart, for example, to allow the flow of fluid therethrough, includes an elongate flexible support wire formed into an annular lattice having a central void, for disposition at a target location in the duct. Also included is an elongate flexible connecting wire joined at a distal end to the annular lattice and having a discontinuity for severing when supplied with a perturbation signal, a balloon catheter having an expandable section disposable in the void of the annular lattice so that when the expandable section is expanded, it forces the annular lattice radially outwardly to contact and hold apart the duct walls, and a fluid supply for supplying fluid to the expandable section of the balloon catheter to cause it to expand. A perturbation signal source is provided for supplying the perturbation signal to the discontinuity of the connecting wire to cause severance thereof.

    摘要: A steering system for a tow tractor having steerable front and rear road wheels is disclosed. The steering system comprises a steering wheel for turning the front road wheels and a hydrauclic servo valve for turning the rear road wheels through an angle proportional to the turning of the front road wheels.A rear mechanical push-pull cable is used for signaling a feedback angular quantity of the turning of the rear road wheels to the servo valve. A front mechanical push-pull cable is used for signaling an input angular quantity of the turning of the front road wheels to the servo valve. A hydraulic clutch is used for remotely engaging and disengaging the front mechanical system having at least two steering modes for the front and rear road wheels.A method of operating a vehicle having mechanical controls for steerable front and rear road wheels is disclosed that eliminates the dangers of a failure mode inherent in an electronic control over hydraulic four-wheel steering device.

    摘要: A hydraulic actuated pressure booster unit includes a differential power piston and an integral control valve controlling the pumping direction and action. The control valve has a reciprocally mounted tubular spool member in a cylinder valve body. The spool member has a control passageway and a plurality of spaced spools, one of which mates with the power piston passage to form a first valve for transfer of oil to the pumping chamber and from a transfer chamber to an exhaust passageway. A pair of spaced spools slide in stepped control chamber forming a control bore and exhaust bore connected by the spool passageway to the pumping chamber via the first valve. A sequence valve connects the exhaust bore to the exhaust through a directional control valve. The sequence valve is controlled by the output working pressure. A pilot valve controls the load connection to the one end of the cylinder and a high pressure relief valve limits the total pressure created within the working system. The valves and operating sections are axially mounted in longitudinal spacing within a tubular housing having fluid passages formed by recesses in the sidewalls and sealed by an outer shell.

    摘要: An encryption and decryption circuit and method using subkeys which is therefore particularly useful for the encryption and decryption of database information. Each data field has a corresponding write key and a different read key. A database record is encrypted by multiplying each field by its corresponding write key and adding up all such products modulo the product of all read keys. The read keys must be prime numbers and the write keys must satisfy a certain relationship with respect to the read keys. A database record may have a single field decrypted by dividing the encrypted record by the read key for that field and taking the remainder. The security of each field may thereby be individually controlled without compromising the security of the entire record.
