摘要: A system can include a delivery catheter comprising a balloon and an implantable prosthetic heart valve. The prosthetic valve can have a plastically expandable and compressible unitary frame comprising first, second, and third rows of angled struts that define two circumferentially extending rows of diamond-shaped cells that extend continuously around the frame, and a valvular structure comprising a plurality of leaflets. A cusp edge portion of each leaflet is connected to the frame by a skirt that is connected to and disposed between the frame and the cusp edge portions of the leaflets, the skirt being connected to consecutive struts in the first, second, and third rows of struts with sutures. The compressed prosthetic heart valve can be mounted around the balloon and radially expanded to the expanded configuration with the balloon inside a patient's body.

摘要: Embodiments are provided of an assembly having a prosthetic valve, the prosthetic valve having a radially expandable and compressible annular frame, and a crimping accessory device, and methods for using the assembly in compressing the prosthetic valve. The frame includes an outer surface and an inner surface. A leaflet assembly is supported inside the annular frame. The leaflet assembly includes a plurality of leaflets, each having an inner surface and an outer surface. The crimping accessory device has a plurality of axially-extending fingers. At least a first finger of the plurality of fingers is disposed between the outer surface of a first leaflet of the plurality of leaflets, and at least a second finger of the plurality of fingers is disposed radially-inwardly of the inner surface of the first leaflet.

摘要: A prosthetic heart valve has a frame including a plurality of strut members, an inflow end, and an outflow end. A leaflet structure is situated at least partially within the frame, and a covering is disposed around an exterior of the frame. The covering includes a cushioning layer, and a first strip member folded over an inflow circumferential edge portion of the cushioning layer to form a first protective portion. A second strip member is folded over an outflow circumferential edge portion of the cushioning layer to form a second protective portion. The first strip member and the second strip member are spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal axis of the prosthetic heart valve.
