    摘要: An electrophotography photosensitive body has a single layer photosensitive layer on top of a conductive substrate, directly or via an undercoat layer. The single layer photosensitive layer contains at least a resin binder, a charge generating substance, and a charge transport substance, wherein at least one of the charge generating substances is a titanyl phthalocyanine, which, in a x-ray powder diffraction spectrum having a radiation source of CuK &agr; and within a range of a Bragg angle 2&thgr;=5˜35°, a ratio, R, of a value, P, of a diffraction intensity of a highest peak and a value, B, of a diffraction intensity of the background satisfies the equation R=(P−B)/B≦7.0. The resulting electrophotographic photosensitive layer shows excellent electrical properties with positive charging as well as excellent stability when repeatedly used.

    摘要: A sheet-testing apparatus including kneading rolls, a frame feeder, sheet applicator, foreign material detector, a frame with a light transparent window and a cutter for cutting a sheet. A sheet thickness detection apparatus outputs an electric signal to a memory. A kneading apparatus has a pair of heating rolls separated by a gap. The directions and speeds of rotations of the rolls are adjustable. A sensor detects the gap and a bank sensor detects the condition of a bank in the gap. The distance between the rolls, their temperatures, rotations, and speeds are automatically controlled. A pair of blades peel a sheet from the sheet-winding roll. Material dropped through the gap between the heating rolls is returned to a point above the gap. A cutting device has a length of wire sprung onto a rolled sheet to sever the sheet. A heating roll cleaning device brings cleaning rolls into sliding engagement with the heating rolls. A heating roll cleaning device has means for feeding an elongated cloth-like cleaning member for cleaning heating rolls.

    摘要: The photovoltaic device of this invention has a p-type layer of oxides of the platinum group between a transparent electrode layer texturized at the side opposite the light incident surface and a semiconductive layer having a semiconductor junction and including a p-type layer at the light incident side thereof.With such a construction, the optical path length of an incident ray is increased, thereby improving the photoelectric conversion efficiency. Also, since the p-type semiconductive layer contacts the p-type layer of oxides of the platinum group, imperfections in the semiconductor junction can be reduced. Accordingly, with a photovoltaic device of this invention, the peak value of the photoelectric conversion efficiency can be increased and also the manufacturing yield can be remarkably increased.

    摘要: A semiconductor optical logical device comprises two light-emitting elements (2a, 2b) formed on one main surface of a transparent substrate (1), and two light sensitive elements (3a, 3b) formed on the other main surface faced to the light emitting elements (2a, 2b), respectively. The two light sensitive elements (3a, 3b) are comprised of amorphous semiconductor and are electrically connected in series. On the other hand, the light-emitting elements (2a, 2b) are driven responsive to individual input signals, respectively. If and when two input signals are applied simultaneously, the two light-emitting elements (2a, 2b) emit light simultaneously, so that an output is obtained from the two light sensitive elements connected in series. If and when only one input signal is applied, no output is obtained. Thus, an optical logical product circuit is provided.

    摘要: An image reading apparatus may include a main unit and a cover unit pivotally attached to the main unit. The cover unit may include an image reading device configured to read an image of a document along a conveying path. The image reading device may include a contact image sensor, a sensor holder to hold the contact image sensor, an urging member, and a shock absorber. The contact image sensor is disposed below the conveying path. The sensor holder has an open top boxed shape and holds the contact image sensor in position inside. The urging member is disposed in an inner bottom surface of the sensor holder to urge the contact image sensor toward the conveying path. The shock absorber is disposed between a bottom surface of the contact image sensor and the inner bottom surface of the sensor holder, and is made of a porous material.
