Abstract:
Measurements and Channel State Information (CSI) feedback are configured using communications between a network and user equipment (UE). The communications includes a first signaling from a network component to the UE indicating one or more reference signal (RS) resource configurations, a second signaling indicating one or more interference measurement (IM) resource configurations, and a third signaling indicating a CSI report configuration, wherein the CSI report configuration indicates a subset of the one or more RS resource configurations and a subset of the one or more IM resource configurations. The UE establishes a RS based measurement according to the subset of the one or more RS resource configurations and an IM according to the subset of the one or more IM resource configurations. The UE then generates and sends to the network a CSI report in accordance with the CSI report configuration and using the RS based measurement and the IM.

Abstract:
A system and method for transmitting and receiving acknowledgement information are provided. A method for communications device operations includes determining a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) response for each component carrier (CC) in a set of CCs configured by higher layer signaling, thereby producing a set of HARQ responses; generating an information vector from the set of HARQ responses, encoding the information vector; and transmitting the encoded information vector. The information vector comprises one or more bits respectively corresponding to a CC in the set of CCs. A bit is assigned a fixed value if HARQ response of a corresponding CC is set to DTX in response to no transmission detected over the CC.
Abstract:
A method for operating a user equipment includes receiving a set of first random access channel (RACH) parameters associated with a first group of identifiers, and wherein identifiers in the first group of identifiers are used for generating pseudo-random sequences, and performing a random access procedure in accordance with the set of first RACH parameters and the first group of identifiers.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting resource allocation information to a wireless node in a communications system includes selecting a search space from one of a first search space and a second search space, the first search space associated with a first set of control channel parameters and the second search space associated with a second set of control channel parameters. The method also includes modulating the first control information, and mapping the modulated first control information onto the selected search space in a first subframe, where at least one of modulating the first control information and mapping the modulated first control information is according to a selected set of control channel parameters associated with the selected search space. The method further includes transmitting the first subframe to the wireless node, and transmitting a first parameter indicator identifying the selected set of control channel parameters to the wireless node.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method for control channel transmission in a wireless network are disclosed. A disclosure is provided with at least one resource block (RB) including a first control channel element associated with a first antenna port (AP) and a second control channel element associated with a second AP. The first and second control channel elements might be used for transmission of a single control channel, and a first reference signal sequence associated with one of the first AP and the second AP is selected for transmission of the single control channel based on a control channel element index value, such that a resource element of the at least one RB can be detected to decode the first control channel element and the second control channel element.
