    Abstract: A method for operating a wireless communication device in a cellular network comprises the steps of: determining power consumption criteria for at least one first time period containing at least one data transmission, carrying out a data transmission session, in case that after said data transmission session the wireless communication device has changed from a first base node to a second base node of the cellular network: determining power consumption criteria for at least one second time period containing at least one data transmission on a second base node, comparing power consumption criteria of the first time period with power consumption criteria of the second time period, carrying out a cell reselection to the first base node, in case at the first time period the determined power consumption criteria indicate a lower power consumption than at the second time period.

    Abstract: A cellular network comprises a plurality of base nodes, including an active base node, to which the wireless device is currently associated. The wireless device transmits data according to a periodicity related transmission mode to the active base node. The method comprises providing information from wireless device to the active base node relating to periodicity of said data transmission, responding at the active base node comprising an indication of assigned resources for multiple transmissions, setting a timer at the active base node relating to said periodicity, upon expiration of the timer, reserving resources at the active base node for reception of the data transmission, transmitting data from the wireless device according to the periodicity, receiving transmitted data at active base node, conducting an acknowledging procedure at the active base node in response to said data reception.

    Abstract: A base station in a cellular radio network and user equipment assigned to a cell are linked by an air interface for communication on a respective communication channel in a communication band. The same communication band is common to at least one of the cells and to the user equipment on the respective communication channel of a cell. A jamming transmitter is detected by decoding a cell, by way of successful reading of control information of the cell, detecting a wideband power parameter representative of the communication band, and detecting a channel power parameter representative for a part of the communication band that is a communication channel.
