Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for microstructuring an optical waveguide having a first cross-sectional region with a first refractive index, a second cross-sectional region with a second refractive index, and a boundary region in the transition from the first to the second cross-sectional region, in which the optical waveguide is exposed to laser radiation in the form of at least one ultra-short single pulse or a sequence of pulses with a defined energy input, whereby the radiant exposure takes place in such a manner that a modification of at least one optical property of the optical waveguide takes place at at least one defined portion of the boundary region.
Abstract:
Method for filter selection of binary configured for determining smallest concentration changes in substance mixtures is provided wherein one or a plurality of low-concentration lead components can be reliably detected in the presence of higher-concentration matrix or background components using the selected broad-band binary filters. The spectral power transmitted or reflected by the substance mixture is detected by a plurality of photosensitive detectors which are spectrally broad-banded and provided with binary filters, the detector signals being used for exact determination of the substance concentrations.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel substituted &agr;,&bgr;-fused butyrolactones, to processes for their preparation and to their use for the prevention and/or treatment of disorders caused by hyper- or hypofunction of the glutamatergic system, in particular of cerebral ischaemias, craniocerebral trauma, states of pain or CNS-mediated spasms.

Abstract:
A device for the detection of micro particles that can be marked by probes or antibodies capable of being detected by radiation has a filter, a supply system, and a detection system. Fluid to be examined is passed over a filter to filter out the micro particles and to perform the marking steps by supplying corresponding marking substances to the filter.
Abstract:
A device for collecting particles that have a high electron affinity, particularly explosive particles, from a gas, includes a flow channel (12a) in which at least one electrically positive collector electrode (20a) and at least one ionising electrode (18a) are arranged, between which an electrical field is present so that the particles having high electron affinity can be indirectly charged by corona discharge on the ionising electrode (18a) and can be displaced towards the collector electrode (20a).

Abstract:
A switch cabinet with a rack that can be closed or is closed by at least one double-walled cabinet door, three side walls, a top wall and a bottom wall, where the side walls each has an internal wall and an external wall and are attached to the rack. With a special angling-off of the internal wall for the side walls and the back wall, a completely sealed and shielded internal space of the switch cabinet is produced, wherein the rigid attachment of the internal walls and the external walls is accomplished from outside the supported interior of the switch cabinet.
Abstract:
The MRAM semiconductor memory configuration has MRAM main cell arrays in the form of a crosspoint array or a transistor array together with redundant MRAM cell arrays formed of redundant MRAM memory cells arranged in a plurality of planes and provided on the same chip. The redundant MRAM cell arrays are distributed over the individual planes of the memory matrix or one plane of the memory array is used in its entirety for providing redundant cell arrays.
Abstract:
A method of and apparatus for changing the position of chains of sausages in sausage production processes with two endless conveying belts which convey the sausages of the chain of sausages over a first length in a first direction and which then deflect the chain of sausages into a second direction and convey it over a second length in said second direction, the distance between the conveying belts being chosen such that it is larger during transport in said second direction than during transport in said first direction, for use in transferring a chain of sausages from a twist-off station to a suspension station.
