摘要: Systems for voice control of medical devices in a healthcare facility are disclosed herein. The systems employ continuous speech processing software, voice recognition software, natural language processing software, and other software to permit voice control of the medical devices. Systems are also provided for distinguishing which medical device from among multiple medical devices in a patient room is the particular medical device to be controlled by voice input from a caregiver or a patient.

摘要: A system identifies a first position of a tag in a clinical environment based on first times at which first receivers received a first wireless signal from the tag. The system estimates a second position of the tag in the clinical environment based on second times at which second receivers received a second wireless signal from the tag. The system determines that a boundary is located between the first position and the second position, defines a path range around the first position of the tag based on an expected movement of the tag during a time interval between the first and second wireless signals, determines that the boundary lacks a door within the path range, adjusts the second position of the tag based on the boundary map, and transmits a message indicating that the tag is located at the adjusted position at the second time.

摘要: A system for identifying a location of a device includes a first antenna mounted to a plug. The first antenna surrounds one or more prongs of the plug, and the plug has a memory that stores a device ID. A second antenna receives the device ID from the first antenna when the plug is coupled to a power outlet. A controller uses a communication module to wirelessly transfer the device ID and a power outlet ID to a computer server. The computer server uses the device ID and the power outlet ID to determine the location of the device within a building.

摘要: A caregiver location system includes a computer configured to track a location of a caregiver in a healthcare facility. A caregiver identification (ID) tag is worn by a caregiver and has a tag transmitter configured to communicate with a plurality of receivers. The plurality of receivers and the computer cooperate to form a locating system that is operable to determine a location of the caregiver ID tag. The computer collects data over time related to a caregiver location within the healthcare facility and determines a problem area within the healthcare facility where a determined caregiver location is inaccurate.

摘要: Monitoring a patient can include a vital sign device including a skin contact and a demodulator circuit in communication with the electrically conductive skin contact, the demodulator circuit including: a physiological waveform data processing module configured to process the waveform data received from the electrically conductive skin contact; and a digitally encoded data processing module configured to detect and decode digitally encoded data modulated at the carrier frequency. Also included can be a signal conductive blanket including an extended touch point. A clinician contacts the extended touch point of the signal conductive blanket and the patient monitoring device to connect the vital sign device and the patient monitoring device.

摘要: High-accuracy locating systems and methods are used for determining successful caregiver rounding, monitoring whether housekeepers have properly cleaned patient beds, or determining whether patients have ambulated sufficient distances during recovery. Patient beds having at least two locating tags are used for establishing patient care zones around the patient beds. Locating anchors and equipment tags are moved around a patient room to determine optimum locating anchor placement within the patient room based on signal quality values. A locating tag on a patient bed switches roles to operate as a locating anchor in response to the patient bed becoming stationary. A locating tag has a digital compass which is used to determine a field of good ranging relative to a front of a caregiver wearing the locating tag.

摘要: An example system connects to a location engine in a mesh network, transmits a first message indicating a bus master service hosted by a bus master, and receives a message indicating a location service hosted by a location engine and an aggregation service hosted by an aggregator connected to the location engine. The bus master stores a first entry corresponding to the location service and a second entry corresponding to the aggregation service. The bus master transmits a request to access the location service; receives a response confirming a subscription to the location service; and receives timing data indicating times at which the multiple receivers in a clinical environment received a wireless signal from a tag. The bus master aggregates the timing data into a data stream and transmits data stream to the location service in accordance with the subscription.
