    摘要： An electrostatic copying apparatus including a support frame having a front support wall and a rear support frame. The support frame is mounted on a housing slidably in the front and rear direction between an operating position within the housing and a pull-out position outside of the housing. A rotating drum and a developing device are mounted on the support frame. Each of the rear surface of the front support wall and the front surface of the rear support wall has a semicircular receiving portion with an open top, and each end of the rotating drum has a shaft bearing member with a circular peripheral surface. By inserting each bearing member into the associated receiving portion, the drum is rotatably mounted. The developing device has a front wall and a rear wall, with a projecting portion formed at the end of each. An abutting lower edge is defined on each projecting portion, and an abutting front edge is defined on each of the front wall and the rear wall, below the projecting portion. The developing device is mounted between the front support wall and the rear support wall with each abutting lower edge abutting against the upper surface of the associated bearing member when that associated bearing member is inserted into its associated receiving portion and with each abutting front edge abutting against the side surface of the associated receiving portion.

    摘要： A transfer type electrostatic copying apparatus in which the area of a photosensitive member cleaned by a cleaning device reaches an exposure zone simultaneously or prior to the arrival of a movable portion of an optical system or an original carrier at an exposure starting position from a home position thereof. This results in clear and definite copied images being obtained. At the earlier stage at which the movable portion of the optical system or the original carrier starts moving, the photosensitive member is subjected to the cleaning process, and then the exposure process is effected when the movable portion or the original carrier is running stably. Thus, the electrostatic latent image obtained by the exposure are clear and definite and free from undesirable blurs. The photosensitive member is a rotary drum having bosses connected at opposite axial ends thereof which are removably mounted in holder members on the sidewalls of the copying apparatus. A conical-shaped shaft which rotatably supports the drum has a threaded portion thereon which cooperates with a threaded portion in one of the bosses to secure the shaft to the bosses.

    摘要： A paper feeder equipped with copying paper cassettes comprises a cassette-receiving section within the housing of a copying apparatus for mounting thereon a plurality of copying paper cassettes containing sheets of copying paper having different sizes. Each of the paper cassettes includes a main body for holding paper sheets which has an opening formed at the forward end portion of its bottom wall and a bottom plate for placing paper sheets thereon which is mounted on the bottom wall of the main body of the cassette so that it can freely pivot about its rear end portion as a fulcrum. The housing of the coyping apparatus has provided therein a press-contacting mechanism adapted to act on the bottom plate of the cassette through the opening in the main cassette body. The bottom plate of at least that paper cassete which contains sheets of copying paper having a relatively large size has a compensation piece formed therein so that the press-contacting pressure under which the uppermost paper sheet of the sheets of paper having a relatively large size is kept in press contact with a paper feeding member provided in the cassette-receiving section becomes substantially equal to the press-contacting pressure under which the uppermost paper sheet of the sheets of copying paper having a relatively small size is kept in press contact with the paper feeding member.

    摘要： An apparatus for regulating the movement of a movable member includes a drive device for moving the movable member in a first direction from a rest position to an operative position and for moving the movable member in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, from the operative position toward the rest position. A first detector detects the presence of the movable member at the rest position. A second detector detects the presence of the movable member at a location adjacent the rest position but upstream thereof with respect to the second direction. A control arrangement is operatively connected to the drive device and to the first and second detectors to operate the drive device to move the movable member in the first direction and then in the second direction, to stop the drive device upon detection of the movable member moving in the second direction at the location by the second detector, whereafter the movable member continues movement by inertia in the second direction from such location to the rest position and is detected thereat by the first detector, and too, if the movable member is not detected at the rest position by the first detector within a predetermined time period after the detection by the second detector, again starting the drive device to move the movable member in the second direction until detection thereof by the first detector.
