Abstract: Embodiments of a multi-link access point (AP) device, station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. The multi-link AP device may comprise multiple APs. The multi-link AP device may encode a frame for transmission by one of the APs of the multi-link AP device. The multi-link AP device may encode the frame to include signaling to enable multi-link discovery of the APs of the multi-link AP device. The multi-link AP device may encode the signaling to include: a reduced neighbor report (RNR) element that identifies the APs of the multi-link AP device, and a multiple AP element. The multiple AP element may be configurable to include: common information for the APs of the multi-link AP device, and per-AP sub-elements that include per-AP information related to the APs of the multi-link AP device.

Abstract: An access point (AP) station (STA) (AP STA) may be configured to operate as a multi-AP controller in a multi-AP network. A multi-AP group formation message is encoded for transmission to other APs in the multi-AP network. The multi-AP group formation message is encoded to notify the APs of the formation of an extremely-high throughput (EHT) multi-AP group, to designate whether an AP is a member of an EHT multi-AP group, and whether an AP can take the role of a coordinator AP or coordinated AP within the EHT multi-AP group. For multi-AP joint processing, the AP STA is further configured to encode an AP trigger frame for transmission to the APs in the multi-AP network. The AP trigger frame is to trigger physical layer (PHY) and medium-access control layer (MAC) parameter synchronization. The AP trigger frame is to trigger transmission of aggregated MAC protocol data units (A-MPDUs) by the APs that include MAC parameters and PHY parameters.

For example, an apparatus may include logic and circuitry configured to cause a wireless station to determine a first sequence having a length of 1536 based on a first combination of a pair of Golay sequences, each Golay sequence of the pair of Golay sequences having a length of 384; to determine a second sequence having a length of 1536 based on a second combination of the pair of Golay sequences; and to transmit an Enhanced Directional Multi-Gigabit (EDMG) Physical Layer Convergence Protocol (PLCP) Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) over a channel in a frequency band above 45 Ghz, the EDMG PPDU including an EDMG Channel Estimation Field (CEF) including the first sequence followed by the second sequence, the channel having a channel bandwidth of 6.48 GHz or an integer multiple of 6.48 GHz.

Abstract: Apparatuses, computer readable media, and methods for received signal strength indicator (RSSI) thresholds for transitions are disclosed. An apparatus comprising processing circuitry is disclosed, where the processing circuitry is configured to associate with a first access point (AP), the first AP being part of an extended service set (ESS), decode a frame from the first AP, the frame including an ESS report element, the ESS report element including a recommended basic service set (BSS) transition threshold within the ESS field, and decode a beacon frame from the first AP. The processing circuitry may be further configured to respond to a measured RSSI of the beacon frame being below a value indicated by the recommended BSS transition threshold within the ESS field, by initiating a transition to a second AP.

Abstract: For example, an Access Point (AP) device may be configured to transmit a trigger frame from a sub 10 Gigahertz (GHz) (sub-10 GHz) AP of the AP device over a sub-10 GHz wireless communication channel, the trigger frame configured to trigger a Transmit Sector Sweep (TXSS) procedure over a millimeterWave (mmWave) wireless communication channel; based on the trigger frame, transmit a sequence of sector sweep packets of the TXSS procedure from a mmWave AP of the AP device over the mmWave wireless communication channel; and process a feedback frame from a non-AP device to identify feedback information based on the sequence of sector sweep packets, the feedback frame received at the sub-10 GHz AP over the sub-10 GHz wireless communication channel after the TXSS procedure.
