    摘要: A plasma display apparatus is disclosed. The plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel including a first electrode and a second electrode connected to a reference voltage source, a negative voltage controller that supplies a negative voltage output from a negative constant voltage source to the first electrode, a sustain driver, and a negative voltage blocking unit. The sustain driver supplies a sustain signal to the first electrode, and one terminal of the sustain driver is connected to one terminal of the negative voltage controller. The negative voltage blocking unit prevents the negative voltage from being supplied to the reference voltage source through the sustain driver while the negative voltage controller supplies the negative voltage to the first electrode.

In the method, a first pulse of a positive polarity direction and a second pulse of a negative polarity direction are alternately supplied to the first electrode during a sustain period. In this case, an absolute value of a voltage of the first pulse is different from an absolute value of a voltage of the second pulse. A third pulse of a positive polarity direction to the third electrode is supplied during the supply of the first pulse, and a fourth pulse having a sum of a voltage magnitude of the third pulse and a voltage magnitude of the second pulse is supplied to the third electrode during the supply of the second pulse.

    摘要: Disclosed is a decoding apparatus for LDPC (Low-Density Parity-Check) codes when receiving data encoded with LDPC codes on a channel having consecutive output values, and a method thereof. The decoding method for LDPC codes uses sequential decoding and includes the following steps: (a) the nodes are divided according to a parity-check matrix into check nodes for a parity-check message and variable nodes for a bit message; (b) the check nodes are divided into a predetermined number of subsets; (c) the LDPC codeword of each subset for all the check nodes is sequentially decoded; (d) an output message is generated for verifying validity of the decoding result; and (e) the steps (b), (c), and (d) are iteratively performed by a predetermined number of iterations.
