    摘要: Architecture that operates in combination with an integrated search framework to derive user intent associated with a search query, and then based on the derived intent, choose the search method: a local search on the current local device from which the search is initiated, a non-local search of data sources other than the local device, or both the local search and the non-local search. The query context can be derived to more effectively assess the query intent. The architecture employs predictive models trained with candidate features that enable the prediction of a singular intent (or degree of intent) in the integrated search environment. The models can be trained using historical and real-time features. A classifier is trained using the features. The user intent is then derived based on the classifier output and the search is performed accordingly.

    摘要: Hybrid wicking materials are used in high performance heat pipes where a bi-modal distribution of pore sizes offers advantages over a homogeneous monolithic porous structure. This wick is comprised of sintered metal powder formed on a foam, felt, screen or mesh metal substrate. A fine pore structure is formed by the metal powder while the substrate is comprised of large pores. The large pores are several times, preferably five times to several orders of magnitude larger in size than the small pores. The sintered powder metal and the metal substrate may be made of nickel, copper, molybdenum, niobium, aluminum, iron, cobalt, titanium and alloys based on these metals. This provides a wicking material with axial and radial variations in pore size for optimized performance under both horizontal and against gravity orientations.

    摘要: A device for delivering a biocompatible material to a surgical site includes a cannula having proximal and distal portions and at least a first interior lumen disposed therebetween through which the biocompatible material is delivered. The device further includes an initiation member for initiating cross-linking of the biocompatible material while the biocompatible material is within the cannula. The cannula may include a heating element to thermally initiate cross-linking. Alternately, the cannula may include a second lumen for transmitting light from a light source. A movable blocking element controls the amount of light that passes into the first lumen. A method of delivering a curable biocompatible material to a surgical site includes positioning a distal portion of a cannula adjacent the surgical site and introducing the biocompatible material through a first lumen of the cannula. Cross-linking of the biocompatible material is then initiated while the biocompatible material is within the cannula.

    摘要: The present method induces an oxidation-proof ferric phosphate coating on iron sulfide such as pyrite and marcasite. The method includes the steps of placing the pyrite to be treated in a reaction vessel and leaching the pyrite with a coating composition including water, an oxidizing agent and a phosphate coating agent. Examples of oxidizing agents include hydrogen peroxide, sodium hypochlorite, potassium hypochlorite and mixtures thereof. The phosphate coating agent may be potassium dihydrogen phosphate. In order to ensure the formation of the stable coating, the leaching is performed at a pH of substantially 5 and at a temperature of substantially 40.degree. C. Additionally, the oxidizing agent is maintained at a concentration of substantially 0.1% by weight of the coating composition while the concentration of the phosphate coating agent is maintained at at least substantially 10.sup.-4 M/l.
