摘要： The present application relates to a breast pump system. The breast pump system comprises a vacuum path for creating a pressure reduction on a breast. A pump unit generates and releases a pressure reduction in the vacuum path, and comprises a vacuum pump (20). A leakage aperture (60) is configured to allow a controlled release of a pressure reduction in at least part of the vacuum path so that the pressure reduction in at least part of the vacuum path is released in the event that the pump unit fails to release the pressure reduction in the vacuum path. The vacuum pump (20) has a discharge port (22) for discharging air drawn from the vacuum path, and the leakage aperture (60) is disposed proximate to the discharge port (22) so that airflow discharged from the discharge port (22) is directed over the leakage aperture (60).

摘要： The present application relates to an operating unit for a breast pump system. The operating unit comprises a housing and a vacuum pump received in said housing. The housing has a connector (15) for attaching a tube and an outer surface (11) about which a tube can be wrapped. At least a section of the outer surface (11) is curved so that the tube can be wrapped about the housing without buckling. The outer surface (11) comprises a recess (14) and the connector (15) is located in the recess (14), wherein a surface of the recess (14) distends away from the connector (15) so that when a tube is attached to the connector (15), a portion of the tube proximal to the connector (15) does not buckle.

In case some droplets of milk enter the barrier portion (26) and/or drawn through the barrier portion (26) by an ongoing pumping action, aspects of the behavior of the motor (32) for driving the pump (31) are influenced, and the insight that this happens is used for terminating operation of the motor (32) as soon as a too large deviation of one or more operational characteristics of the motor (32) with respect to a reference is found.
