The first parameter is configured to inhibit processing for switching to a Pico base station PeNB which is included in the neighboring base stations.
Abstract:
A base station according to a first aspect is configured to transmit a radio signal to a user terminal in an own cell by using a plurality of transmission antennas. The base station comprises: a controller configured to notify the user terminal of a multi-antenna transmission mode to be applied to a transmission of the radio signal; and a transmitter configured to transmit the radio signal by using the plurality of transmission antennas by the multi-antenna transmission mode notified to the user terminal. The controller reduces a number of transmission antennas to be used for the transmission of the radio signal so as to reduce power consumption of the base station. The controller maintains the multi-antenna transmission mode notified to the user terminal without changing the multi-antenna transmission mode, even when reducing the number of transmission antennas to be used for the transmission of the radio signal.
Abstract:
A mobile communication system supports cellular communication in which a data path passes through a core network and D2D communication that is direct device-to-device communication in which the data path does not pass through the core network. The system comprises a communication apparatus that assigns a radio resource to a D2D terminal that performs the D2D communication, wherein the communication apparatus performs assignment determination as to whether a dedicated radio resource not shared with the cellular communication is assigned to the D2D terminal or a shared radio resource shared with the cellular communication is assigned to the D2D terminal.
Abstract:
A communication control method is a method for performing an offload from a cellular RAN to a wireless LAN. The communication control method includes the steps of: transmitting a list which contains identifiers of wireless LAN access points included in the wireless LAN, by a cellular base station included in the cellular RAN; receiving the list, by a user terminal which has a cellular communication unit and a wireless LAN communication unit; and performing an operation related to the offload after detecting that the user terminal approaches a wireless LAN access point on the basis of the list, by the user terminal which exists in a cell of the cellular base station.
Abstract:
A communication method according to one embodiment comprises the steps of transmitting capability of a radio terminal, which is a pedestrian user equipment (UE), from the radio terminal to a base station, receiving, by the base station, the capability of the radio terminal from the radio terminal, and individually transmitting, from the base station to the radio terminal, information of a radio resource pool for direct terminal-to-terminal communication based on the capability of the radio terminal. The information of the radio resource pool is information of a resource pool based on a geographical zone.
Abstract:
A communication control method according to one embodiment is used in a mobile communication system. The communication control method comprises a step A of predicting, by a UE, a radio condition within a second period after connection between the UE and a eNB is established, in a first period for which the connection is not established, and a step B of performing, by the UE, a random access procedure for establishing the connection. The step B includes a step of performing notification of information on the predicted radio condition from the UE to the eNB in the random access procedure. The information is used, by the eNB, for controlling communication with the UE.
Abstract:
A base station and method thereof includes transmitting from the base station to a user equipment, parameters for an offload from the cellular RAN to a wireless local area network (LAN). The parameters are used by the user equipment to perform an access network selection between the cellular RAN and the wireless LAN, and include a first threshold for comparison with a cellular signal strength of the cellular RAN, a second threshold for comparison with a wireless LAN signal strength of the wireless LAN, and a third threshold for comparison with a load of the wireless LAN. When performing access network selection, the parameters may cause the user equipment to perform the offload, in response to the cellular signal strength being lower than the first threshold, the wireless LAN signal strength being higher than the second threshold, and the load of the wireless LAN being lower than the third threshold.

In a communication method according to an embodiment, in a procedure where a connection between a radio terminal and a network is temporarily suspended, a resumption identifier associated with context information of the radio terminal is transmitted from a first base station to the radio terminal. A part of the resumption identifier is information for identifying the first base station.
